I generally liked the idea of the raffle, but the massive rigging at the later ones was an serious issue. Admittingly Jagex could have fixed it by having proper entering requirements - and consequently banning all accounts abused for rigging the raffle.

That said - while changing the system to be purely chance based might work, I do see permanently adding those items to certain other places to provide more value.

Even the people who made the 100's of accounts. Well the items were not tradeable.

so if they made 100 accounts, put members on them to get the golden armors or
other prizes. Whats the problem?

I mean i only have 2 accounts that i play when the golden stuff comes out but
if a person does make 100 accounts. Puts members on them. I dont see a problem
as long as they are not selling the accounts later.
The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

I disagree with locking them behind bossing especially Rise of the Six. Not everyone likes combat and they are not tradable anyway. That would take the fun away from half the people. A raffle includes everyone.

Uhh, bossing includes everyone too just because some may not like it doesnt mean it shouldnt happen.

Plus what does them being untradeable have to do with anything?

Warpriest is untradeable yet you can get those from bossing.

As with the original version of this event, Balthazar's Big Raffle , for Leonard's Lucky Dip , I have only been trying to win Deathtouched Darts .

I believe I started with way over 20 tickets (some must have been leftover from previous events). So, at least as many as 60 tickets used so far and, and as usual, I have only tried for Deathtouched Darts . No wins, just lamps, ugh! I have received tickets while skilling and killing . But no wins. How desperately disappointing, to put it mildly .

When DTDs were offered once a week with Balthazar , and we were competing against each other (and not being given an atrocious, flat, 1-in-100 chance per ticket ), I had won each and every week (they offered a set of three Deathtouched Darts each week, as I recall). Remember, NOW you are facing a daunting 1-in-100-odds levy on each roll of the dice for a single ticket, not 1-in-10 if you play 10 tickets, and not 1-in-5 if playing 20 tickets. It is 1-in-100. Per ticket.

Being highly diplomatic in my language, I will say this much about this new version of this event:
Leonard's Lucky Dip
is an extremely disappointing event
.

Couldn't have said it better. I was excited to possibly finish my golden barrows collection but It's been a
HUGE
letdown.
