Something occurred to me earlier this week; the selection of Spell Tablets we can make with Lecterns are incredibly limited, absurdly so even. I can't see any reason to not allow us to make Tablets for most skilling spells. Letting us do this would be a significant boon for the Study room, and by extension POH at large.

The reason is really simple actually. It is not very profitable to make tablets and the xp gain is crap. Look at the tablets for skilling spells like Bones to Peaches.You lose money making them for garbage xp. With so many ways to teleport and train skills in RS3, it is hard to see any benefits to train to level 120 just to make a few rather useless tablets.

I'm not saying to lock making these hypothetical new tablets behind level 99+. Currently, Lecterns only go up to level 67, and there's certainly room for two to three tiers more before we get to anything above level 99. Indeed, since most lectern tiers come in levels ending in 7, it would be fairly easy to add two new tiers at level 77 and 87, if nothing else.

While a lot of the current tablets are admittedly not profitable, I think the versatility of some of the potential tabs would make them worth making. Having one-click, one-inventory space, stackable Alchemy, Magic Imbue, NPC Contact, or Crystal Mask casts, among others, could be a real gamechanger for a lot of people and could be a reasonably profitable venture to make them. (Or, alternatively, they could speed up the creation of tablets to make them better GP/h)

@Vengeance

I can hardly see the tablets you mentioned "real gamechanger" and reasonably profitable.

Please also keep in mind gp/hr is a balance issue. I seriously doubt Jagex wants more gp flowing into the economy per hour anyway. Besides, if they want more gp/hr, they can just shorten the duration of cooldown of the spell.

We have all kinds of Enchant tablets in the game for a long time already, but look how they become garbage. They are hardly game changers or profitable (big money loser indeed) because they are rarely used. Think in this direction... how often do you need Contact NPC? Do you really save time making or buying such tablet from the GE, searching them and taking them out from your bank before you use them? No. you don't. You are just wasting more time and more bankspace.

What use does construction serve in RS3 other than a flex of a house and a gilded altar? Sure the teleports are there, but frankly, that content died with the lodestones.

A lot more than in OSRS actually. We need construction in many many many RS3 content all over Gielinor. For examples, Dungeoneering, Player Owned Farms, Player Owned Port, Sunken Pyramid Player Owned Slayer Dungeon, Aquarium, Telescope for locating Shooting Stars, skill based events like Yak Tracks and such, just to name a few.

Oh! Don't forget RS3 is getting another exciting new way to train construction the style and size of Safecracking this year.
