The Stormguard Citadel developer blog revealed the Stormguard Citadel is several miles above ground level and there is no known technology in Gielinor that can get us there.

magic portal

job done.

(you realise clan citadels are also that high in the air, and you also access them by a magic portal right?)

Read that again please:

"It seems that if we choose to proceed with this excavation, we’ll need to take an inventive approach. If Stormguard Citadel is accessible at all, it’ll be floating several miles above Gielinor – and I doubt there’ll be a neatly marked path to follow while we’re there! Thankfully, I have a cunning plan..."

No. Clan Citadel is not that high up in the air. And when we see UFOs flying in the air around Stormgard Citagel, it won't matter if there are magic portal any more because the UFOs show the Avansies have such technologies.

Even if you find "magic portals" in Area 51, you don't deny the existence of the planes (and perhaps UFOs really too) they are building and testing.

We’ve launched ourselves off runecrafting pads in the runespan. We’ve teleported to Tuska in deep space before her impact on Gielinor thanks to a wizard launching a lodestone up there.

I’m sure getting up a few thousand feet in the air won’t be too much a hassle and there will be a similar magically related solution.

Pin: Count the total number of floating islands found in Archaeology. Find the answer to this number^14

Launching ourselves off whatever pads is definitely not flying. It involves scientific operations though.

Teleporting to Tuska or wherever is also definitely not flying. However, unlike launching ourselves off pads or whatever mechanical means, it involves "magic" and not science.

Make no mistake though, there is actually no "magic". Magic is some excuse clueless scientists find to hide their ignorance. It is just some scientific phenomenon low IQ animals can't comprehend and therefore can't accept its scientific nature.

Either way, "magic" and science are definitely not mutually exclusive. Even if we have magical ways to go thousands of miles up the sky, it doesn't mean there can't be UFOs (unidentified only to low IQ animals). As we can clearly see from the official Jagex video, such flying machines do exist outside Stormguard Citadel - Area 51 of Gielinor. Scientific ways to fly high certainly exist in Gielinor. It won't help the delusional ones who can only tell themsleve "hey, we don't see them".

So we have solved the Mystery and now we have the Boots of Flight for our Leap of Faith.

Very Nice... but why not Wings of Flight rather? Our Wings are still useless. I am still looking to flap my Armadyl Wings and go up up and away!!! :D

Flying high, defying gravity! And soon I'll be in the Stormguard Citadel. And nobody in all RS, though researchers will try their best, is ever gonna bring me down!

What goes up, must come down! ;)

Not in RS3 as inter-dimensional travel is possible. Remember, Therragon the White Dragon is able to fly high up and pass the wormhole to Iaia in One of A Kind.

It is probably equally possible Therragon, or some similar beast can fly us to Abbinah, if we can find the wormhole. :)

And I'm still looking to hop on my shadow or fire drake and let it carry me around (outside of the teleport animation of course).
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
