One of my predictions: there'll be new trees and ores to train on in the wilderness. These will produce resources that we can turn into planks and stone for construction at Fort Forinthry.
- It'd be best to have a mix of both current materials and new: wildy engagement and gp sink.
Bob says:
A bank PIN will keep your items secure.
Always check the second trade screen.
Never trade in the Wilderness!
Keep your computer keylogger-free and virus scanned.
Never give your password out to anyone.

Yes, likely we will have new resources to build the new buildings, and more... we may be able to trade them with other players since there is a new market place in the new Fort.

Today's news post says that the first update for Fort Forinthry will drop next week. Anyone excited for this?
I am just as excited as when Jagex pranked us that then new skill was "Prancing" instead of Archaeology.
It is always fun to speculate on something now yet relased, but as for excitement... it is a game, a virtual world event, so not really any exciting feeling in real life. Perhaps it is like Archaeology which gave RS3 18% revenue growth in 2020 and set the stage for EGW that rang up another 20% revenue growth for RS3 in 2021. It is entertaning, but perhaps not too much about real world excitement. Jagex is probably the ones feeling the RS3 excitement in the bank.

Understandable, but at least, you know the update will come next week, right?

Yes, and I will be the usual critic on the new update after tomorrow's livestream. If it is good I will give it a thumb up, or two, but I have lost the kind of little kid excitement on entertainment like movies and TV series long ago.
One thumb up to Fort Forinthry: New Foundation after reviewing today's livestream and developer blog.
My initiation reaction is the new Fort is going to replace POH for majority of players, as we building far far more useful and beneficial communal content using the old construction hotspot concept modified with the modern mining rockatuity/achaeology sprite features to reward non-afk players.
Who needs Open Altar the old school style when we have the modern Communal 24/7 always-on Communal Open Altar with far better benefits including chance to save what we offer? And we don't have to pay our obnoxious and greedy POH servants.
Improving Managing Miscellaneous and Anachronia Baesamp are also frequently requested updates, and the good news is we are getting them through the bland new Command Center. No need to travel to Misc and Anachronia physically when Duke Dilert2001 is commanding everything in Fort Forinthry.
Who needs Open Altar the old school style when we have the modern Communal 24/7 always-on Communal Open Altar with far better benefits including chance to save what we offer? And we don't have to pay our obnoxious and greedy POH servants.
You still pay people to keep your POH altar lit? Its completely free while wearing the Prayer cape
Do you know if the benefits work if someone has not started the fort content already? In other words can I just go to your world and pray at your altar w/o needing to have to complete it myself.
Time to follow an trail of Treasure.
My Goals
Lions Goals
10% ports boost and more workers for Anachronia are the best part for me. It might be cool if there was a wilderness flash event teleport in there too.

I don't see the new OPEN communal altar is any different. We share the altar, but we still burn our bones/ashes for rewards based on our own individual progression.
