RS3 character races finally?

The Time/World Guardian is always a human, but lots of players have always been asking to be able to play as a different race. RS3 has put up a video showing back in 2004 there was actually a secret race in the making - demons, but it was scratched before it saw daylight:

Why would they bring up a footage lost over 18 years today in 2023? Are they contemplating letting us choose to play as non-human finally while working on the Avatar Refresh project?

Don't forget we have been able to play as different NPCs in the game, noticeably Moia lately. We have also been playing as Thok, Icthlarin and the others in the past. We have rings that morph us into heaps of NPCs. Jmods have also been appearing in games as other HUGE NPCs like Solak... So we know we have the technology to handle such character models in RS3 now in 2023, maybe it is time finally for us to show us as other things than humans in RS3?

If we are going to be able to play as other races than humans, what do you want to be? I will like to be Guthix. Kerapac is pretty cool too. :)

Maybe they are just showcasing the things that have happened in the game in the past 22 years? Not everything is a hint of future content. Time to follow an trail of Treasure.

No, it's odd how there's support going towards this kind of stuff but yet minigames and pvp that clearly have had immense support in the past and still do are getting baffled at by small groups of players.

The concept itself steers far away from what RuneScape is good at, RuneScape is doing severely bad and growth is not good especially considering the desperate measures they have taken to try to look good number wise. *IE using multiple, multiple rare events ect*

This is RuneScape, not dress up and hit a NPC.

Because its something that not many people know about that happened in the game? when is the last time you heard about the beta for rs2? Time to follow an trail of Treasure.

But again, why didn't Jagex bring this up the last 18 years, and why didn't OSRS bring up this kind of RSC stuff?

OSRS won't because to them its only been 10 years ( 10 years in FEB). They have no reason to bring it up at all

I can't answer why they choose now to show it, only that I believe its being used as a weird fact and nothing more. Time to follow an trail of Treasure.
