I find the combat a lot more fun and faster experience. Yes I am only level 62, but it seems the experience is faster. Just started experimenting with combat the last couple of days. Rituals are very time consuming. Combat always was more relaxing for me, vs skilling (except fishing) for me. Oh I found wcing relaxing too.

Oh I heard that when you advance, the rituals get loads of experience. But I will see.

Rituals are easy 2x + the xp of combat after level 90. Combat most you get is 1.2m per hour that's if you find a free world without someone crashing you. With rituals if you want the high xp then most of it comes from the random events rather than the ritual itself, it's not afk and you cannot take your eye off the screen for 1 second, or they will be gone. You can do them afk but you will only get the base xp and combat with revo will be faster.

Heck 1.2mil exp per hour is pretty decent for me. Also appears that players are picking the same stupid monsters to train. I really do not need the crazy experience I got getting 120 herb. Could not believe I just got 40 mil herb experience in 5 hours doing dxp.

I am pretty sure by design a COMBAT skill like Necromancy and Magic is supposed to give us the best xp from COMBAT content. Although we can level magic exclusively without combat from alching, teleporting, telegrabing as well as through minigames, the best xp rate come from COMBAT. We have magic for Guthix and Jas knew how long and I am pretty sure most players who are not disinterested and inactive in RS3 and all Runescape variants should know it.

Likewise, Necromancy is also clearly identified as a COMBAT skill. Similar to magic training, we have other non-combat ways to train this COMBAT skill. Rituals are being one of such ways. When players didn't complain about training magic through alching, teleporting, telegrabbing Zammy wines etc are slow and bad design, it is really mind blown why veteran Runesape players have a bone (no pun intended) to pick with Necromancy Rituals, that are head and shoulders more fun and give higher xp rate than alching, teleporting, telegrabbing etc as non-combat ways to train magic.

Rituals are good for an afk type moment. Just have all the supplies ready.

I don't do rituals much atm but will in the future at a higher level.

Magic is a non combat skill as well as a combat skill. It is used to enhance a few of the non combat skills. In fact, one of my alts, I got to 99 magic mainly doing luners after 80+. Even though using ancients would of been faster.

Magic is a COMBAT skill and clearly categorized so. A COMBAT skill can enhance a few of the non-combat skills, of course but it doesn't mean it is not a COMBAT skill.

I have already mentioned we can have different ways to train a COMBAT skill the non-combat ways. You can gain combat through "luners" that absolutely didn't come with the releaseof Magic on the first day of RSC in 2001. Likewise, we can have "luners" Necromancy feature perhaps later. Why not? If "luner" Necromancy features make Necromancy and RS3 better going forward, we will see them being built on top of the current New Foundations.
