I have noticed that the not so secret santa activity has an imbalance that literally affects the fairness of the game. the main feature of the activity is to donate wealth in the form of gp and/or items to be secretly gifted to a random player.

However the minimum value that can be donated is 10k per donation. Even if it is a stack of noted items that can be of value as 1 gp each so long as the stack values to a minimum of 10k. Now the imbalance comes in when you go to claim a secret santa gift for yourself. If the prize pool for that particular world you are in is empty, you are gifted a "consolation" prize.

This is usually mulled wine, mince pie, yule log etc. you are given a quantity of 1 of these consulation prizes which do not meet or exceed the 10k minimum value standard that you are required to pay. but are usually valued at a minimum value of 200 gp.

so it is likely unfair to you to have just sunk a value of 10k from your wealth for a 200 gp booby prize. the valued exchange of the gifting activity should at least be equal to the minimum requirement of donation value.

so i request that the activity be rebalanced to be more fair in exchanged wealth. but also keeping in mind the amount of wealth the player has donated that in game day. 0 wealth = 0 exchange, 10k wealth = 10k exchange. even if you donate a 1m exchange value, you are still gauranteed an exchange value of 10k.

Agreed. We need better consolation prizes instead of junk.

this is my christmas spirit, i am not thinking of myself. i am actually thinking about the fairness to other players including yourself. the equal exchange should at least be equal to all and not just some.

i have managed to get some pretty decent donations a few times but there are others more unfortunate than i and can only play when the prize pool is already empty. they deserve some Christmas spirit too you know.

You can always donate just 10k worth of junk each day, and claim a prize once every 2 hours. The chance is you will get 10k worth of junk once, plus more random junk, and there is a smaller chance you will get 200 mil+ gp worth of good prize.

and then all that junk you donate gets dumped off on someone else which would ruin thier experience. thats a nice thought. i get 200m in gp while someone gets all my garbage. what if after you donate 100k gp and then expected to get something amazing just to end up with 10k worth of noted tinderboxes? you wouldn't have the need for them as more than one would be redundant.

thats a real nice way of treating a social holiday event with other players, thank you for your hard earned gp but here is my garbage in return. Merry Christmas! Bruh.

How would that ruin anybody's experience? We all have the choices to donate or not, as well as to claim our prizes more than once or not. This is similar to the traditional Christmas Gift Exchange IRL. A lot of players are happy to do that.

Personally, I only cared to get donate 200 mil gp to get the cool title for an alt, and the "200 mil gp" I donated actually came totally free from Oils of Enhancement from the last DXP Token Store paying absolutely 0 gp and doing absolutely nothing other than the usual DXP activities.

My main character also got the title last year, and I don't even care to donate anything.

I have another character AFK skilling in Santa Village but no desire to buy a title for, so I just donated 10k worth of junk.... like 1 elder log each day and check in a few times when I feel like it and see if I win 200 mil+ gp worth of gift. I didn't win anything big as the most valuable gift I received was a 380k Vecna Skull but that was more than I expected anyway.
