The Jagex "support" runaround is worse than the Runescape one....

How do you ever even get to actually CONTACT support and not just read what they suggest to fix your problem, which doesn't fix mine?

I went to the "support center"

Their suggestions do not fix the issue.

There is no further "contact" us.... to even begin to fix this.

They say it is fixed. It is not fixed.



So frustrating.

Can confim it is still not working for me.

I have completely unlinked all accounts. Closed the launcher, relinked the accounts.

The only initial account I can link BTW my old account (pre-email login), as any accounts that use email logins arent getting emails. I can add additional ones onto it but I cannot verify them due to the emails not getting through.

I wonder if that is the common factor for those unable to get the shards. Jagex account made with pre-email accounts.

If you are able to unlink accounts, you are not using a Jagex Account.

Having accounts listed in the Jagex Launcher is not the same thing as having a Jagex Account. Jagex Accounts are a separate entity entirely, and you can permanently import your RuneScape characters onto one. You would then have one set of credentials you use to access all of your RuneScape characters.

More information on what Jagex Accounts are is best found in the original newspost about them from January . I would recommend reading through that in its entirety as it may help to clarify some confusion.

I received the shards just fine when I logged in yesterday, and my character that is imported onto my Jagex Account had a legacy username login previously, so that has nothing to do with it.

My account is also a "pre" email account.

I have always used my Runescape user name and password to log on, I have never used my email.

I am trying to use the same email, that is associated with my runescape account. I always get mail from Jagex at this email, confirming my Premeire purchases, etc.


I am NOT getting the code to verify my email, to finish making a "Jagex" account.

It says it's ready to import my "correct Runescape account name" and, to type type in my email address and they will send a code.

I put in my email.... and, still waiting..... no codes today. I've done it 3 times.

Like I said, I'll get them after I go to bed tonight, since I'm in The States.

This is so frustrating. Especially the part about being talked down to, like you're stupid and you're just "doing it wrong"

I know what I'm doing and, I'm doing it right.

It's not working.

I never receive the email code, until many, many hours later.

There are daily emails I receive, that are working as normal.

Jagex is the only one having a problem.

Sounds like they're aware of residual issues, so I'd recommend keeping an eye on that page for updates.

Huh? Go figure.

Maybe try to be a little less condescending when addressing folks in the forums who are experiencing problems?

Derrik Wolf is trying to create a Jagex Account, but is not receiving emails. That is a different issue that, per Jagex's support page, was believed to be fixed but isn't, and Jagex is continuing to work on it.

Thanks for the update.

Do you have a direct link to a support option?

As I stated somewhere above, the support page wasn't much help and, I could not find somewhere, where I could explain my problem in more detail.

Am I not looking in the right place? Maybe I overlooked an option?

Okay. After taking in what Applejuiceaj stated, I realise I never actually validated my account. The email they originally sent to validate went unnoticed and has since expired.

My issue now is just not getting a new validation email.
