I agree with Mighty Gil and Archaeox. Shouldn't have to boss kill for the privilege of upgrading gear. I can deal with those requirements to make the upgrades but I don't think the ability to make the upgrades should be a requirement to wear them. Nothing else works that way so why necromancy?

but upgrading ones gear has always been about bossing? from gwd1, to nex, the best gear has ALWAYS come from bossing

as people saying if you don't want to boss, you don't need t80 power armour really - the bosses for the tank armour are easy

as for achievements, the clue is in the name - its an achievement, not a participation award

there are achievements i cannot do either, like telos 4k, but i dont ask for it to be made easier so that i can tick a box, because that would be pointless

with respect dilbert it is not about getting to 120 lv it is about achivments over the last couple of years they have made it harder for people who like to play this game solo and not in groups. if it was about the 120 do you not think after playing so many years non stopping i would already have all 120 ; so please show respect to others.
with respect mighty ;

with respect, as awful as that Dilbert guy often is, it is not being disrespectful to disagree with your opinion in the way he has on this thread
this is a multiplayer game, and while there is nothing stopping people playing it sol, one really cannot expect to achieve and unlock EVERYTHING playing solo - maybe see it as an opportunity to branch out and socialise? there are lots of awful people who play rs, but there are good ones too

may i recommend "pvming fc" as it has no gear or kill count requirements+ (as a strict rule) for group forming, and lots of people are happy to take and teach learners

at an extremis, you could simply save up for first necromancer gear, and fight the bosses in that.

As much as i sympathise with those who find bossing hard (i was maxed before i got fire cape) its never too late to learn (i say that as 40+ player) and a game thats inclusive enough to have no skill based requirements would be unchallenging, and as such not much fun for a large majority of its player base

it do find it funny it went from the mole, a easiest boss (and kal queen, who is also piss easy) to nex, at one point the hardest boss in the game and still a pain in the butt

wonder if we can cheese it and use deathtouch darts on them to get the item. like pop a necro hit or two then throw a dart at them for the item

its also annoying for people that dont high end pvm
Logic, who needs it...

@necrotising its not even a matter of get good and learn for me i play on satilite internet so i get lag quite easily and those endgame bosses will easily 1 shot if you dont get out of the way of an attack or prayer swap at the right time. helll you cant even use darts with alot of them on the list. so its complete bs to gatekeep being able to wear gear for this reason. if some1 can afford the gear to buy it without going through the hassel then they should be able to wear it.

Years ago, KQ was once the hardest boss in the game. Yes, she is easy now. With how the game is going now, Nex will be easy as well. I have not gone to obtaining T80 armor yet. I do not plan worrying about it now either. Yes, in the past, people could just buy higher armor and weapons. But remember, the powerful stuff is what is making the bosses easier. Imagine Necromancer will make Nex easier too. Wouldn't be surprised that Nex will be considered easy with more people being 152 with high Necromancy with powerful gear. In a way, it should be earned. Not just bought. Also remember high gear also degrades. I do not think Necromancy gear degrades.

This reminds me of years ago when Dung came out. Pretty much you had to team to get fast experience. Many of the players were ignorant when they teamed. It was so important to be in a good clan during that period. Also, when free trade came out, a lot just leached. But anyway, I love dung because it wasn't about bragging as much about learning how to really team and raid. Every piece of armor I got I earned. It took me a while to get my set of full primal. I earned every piece. Plus I made most of my lower level armor. Pre EOC, some of the bosses were down right hard. I have to admit, on my alt, I still have some issues with Blink. But the people, who really loved the game and the meaning of a MMO loved Dung.

with respect Mighty Gil as I mentioned in my post just above yours, such Necromancy achievements like Nex can be done in a group, and a very big community supported group frequently organized by the Pink Skirts RS3 community called "masses".

More very helpful information regarding Nex mass, to perhaps a lot of low combat or not that good at combat players if not you:

PSA:

There is a player run community event Daily Planer built into RS3. You can access it by clicking the in game CLOCK. We had a Nex mass 3 days ago, and the next one is probably sometime next week.

I dont understand why the armors have to be crafted to be worn, what is the internal logic behind that besides just making the game harder?

Like, if you have to craft your set in order to wear it, why would you ever buy a set when you have the one you crafted?

likewise, why would anyone craft multiple sets to sell them on the g.e, when nobody needs them since they have to craft their own?

It's seems like a ridiculous, nonsense game design by some joker at Jagex trying to be funny.

The kicker is that ensouled materials are untradeable.
