The events have been increased to 5 minutes from 3.

First try in Draynor was a success. 545 total contribution, I got 18. The event ended with somewhere between 30-45 seconds remaining. Estimated, because it ended sooner than expected.

It seems to be in a good place for the remaining day 1 crowd.


Edit: the next event was a success at the fort. 668 total contribution, ended with 1 minute remaining. I got 19. Both of these would have failed with the 3 minute timer.

I'd have to agree on the H'Oddments pricing for the rewards.

So far it seems that there's maybe a 20-25% chance of getting H'Oddments when smashing a pumpkin. So 1 in 4 if you're assuming 25% rather than anything below that.

35000 H'Oddments would mean 7000 pumpkins smashed with H'Oddments as loot, times 4 because it's a 1 in 4. 28000 pumpkins seems absolutely ridiculous, you could extend the event until christmas and people would barely be able to achieve it.

When we see H'Oddments don't expire, we should know they aren't meant for just one event already.

I might be wrong, but they can only be earned during Halloween events right?

Even if they don't expire, if i'd have to farm 6 weeks to get a 35k reward, and the event runs for three weeks, participating on three Halloween events would let me get a single 35k reward. So i can get a reward on halloween in 2 years, assuming the currency is not discontinued before then.

Just saying that the current state of it doesn't really do it for me. If you disagree that's cool, everyone's allowed to have their own opinion :)

Again, why do you have to look at just one event? Nobody should expect to get all the available rewards in any event all the time anyway.

I'm not expecting for all rewards from a single event and havn't implied that i do, the 35k mentioned is for one single reward item from the store at current prices.

I am looking at this single event right now, because i am trying to provide my personal input on this event in particular. If others agree, it might end up changed. If no one else agrees, that's fine. I never said i demand this issue is changed because i personally dislike these rates, i just stated that it seems rather unachievable to me.

Do you know the new H'Oddment Store items can be obtained from the Halloween Event happening now? The key point is H'Oddment Store is just an option to obtain them, not the only way.

Besides, most H'ddments are going to be earned from the Grim Harvest event coming up but not currently available. H'Oddments from the Halloween Event probably is just not designed to be the key source.

Yes i am aware of that, but i have always had extremely poor luck with these things. Of course i could wait until the event is over, if i got it by then i'm lucky. But others might not have been as lucky. And if i didn't get it, it'd be a little late for feedback for an event that's already over.

And yes i am aware of the Grim Harvest coming up. Treasure hunter, right?
Ironmen don't have access to Treasure Hunter, so i don't really get an easier way to obtain H'oddments.
