Zorgoth most certainly is not just a named Dragonkin in Dragon Slayer II. I can't even take you seriously because you talk like you know everything about Old School even though you hate the game with a passion and clearly don't even know what you're talking about.

Ungael is not totally different between both games outside of maybe layout. Both islands are wintery biomes that housed Vorkath. That's literally the only purpose the island has in both games.

Zuk. Nex. Sliske being related to the Barrows Brothers. Now Vorkath. Whatever content that you can talk about in both games, regardless of which game featured the content first. That's what I mean by crossover content. And that list isn't even including the entire 100 or so collection of quests that already existed in the original 2007 backup of OS that are found 1-for-1 in both games.

I didn't say Vorkath was going back to Ungael at any point. That doesn't make his origin story less important.

We have already gone through the different of lore between both game. And you still have yet to tell us even both games have the same lore, what does Zorgoth in DT2 in OSRS have to do with RS3, when we don't have DT2 and a dead Bob in RS3, let alone Zorgoth.

I already clearly told you the connection between Ungael to the Fort Forinthry Dragon Graveyard. The "only purpose" of Ungael in OSRS definitely doesn't remotely apply to RS3. We also have a combat arena on Ungael in RS3 too.

Again, I mentioned over 9,000 times we have shared NPCs in both RS3 and OSRS, but it absolutely doesn't mean they are equally novelty in both games. Zuk, Nex, Sliske and even Barrows Brothers are very different in both Games. I think even many OSRS players know we have not just Barrows Brothers in RS3, but Sister too. We also have not just the 6 Barrows Brother but Rise of the Six among other things.

"I am happy to discuss anything, provided that we start out from the assumption that there are at least two points of view, and neither of them is necessarily correct ."

A quote from a university lecturer of mine which, it seems to me, some people on these forums could take on board.

Bob died?
Wtf?

Bob died long ago in OSRS Dragon Slayer 2, like 5 or 6 years ago, but hardly anybody in RS3 knows or cares about it because as I mentioned the 2 games are very different in content (especially stories). Even in OSRS, I think players either don't care or even question why Bob had to die because his death added totally nothing to the story and other content in OSRS.

Evidently, RS3 players or OSRS players who also play RS3 knows Bob is alive and kicking and we are getting to see more and more of Evil Bob content in Shattered Worlds and Archaeology.

The RS3 Bob is of course the same OSRS Bob, but only before the existence of the players in the 5th Age. It is the same story with Zorgoth and Vorkath. Everything can be, and evidently will be, very different between Bob, Zorgoth and Vorkath in RS3.

I am now fully ready for the next
and no doubt final
quest in the Fort Forinthry storyline.
Likewise I will be expecting to see the following when looking at the "Combat" section of the quest's overview:
"You will need to defeat a level XXX
undead dragon.
"
"You will need to defeat a level XXX
mahjarrat.
"

If I don't see at least those two sentences there, then I will be sorely disappointed.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

You're the one bringing up Bob the Cat, Dilbert.

When I said the two stories are in parallel, I was specifically talking about Vorkath and I have made that consistently clear from the opening post. But I'll do it again, because we have posters that will just blatantly ignore the details just to derail the thread with silly arguments and others who will literally zero in on like three words.

In Dragon Slayer II, Vorkath was created by Zorgoth, a Dragonkin, to assist the Dragonkin in the Dragonkin Conflicts (a war that took place between the Kin and humans like Robert the Strong - or as we know him, Bob the Cat.) Vorkath was created on an island in the Fremmenik Sea known as Ungael.

In Ancient Awakening, we discover that Vorkath was created by a Dragonkin named Zorgoth to destroy humans (while a broader purpose, A Tail of Two Cats is in both games, so game knowledge can infer that this was an ancient weapon used in the Dragonkin conflicts) on an island our Fort supervisor, who happens to be a Fremmenik, identifies as Ungael, which the Dragonkin Tomb later confirms.

---

That is a very clear parallel between Vorkath's lore in Old School RuneScape, and his lore in RuneScape 3.

This is not the same situation as with Zuk, because RuneScape 3's team was given a mostly blank canvas with which to create lore for the character in that instance (and even then, they still made sure to include Zuk's imprisonment underground, which is critical to what has made Zuk what he is in both games.)

Vorkath already had an established history, and RS3 didn't alter that history in any way.
