All your complaints about EOC and what not only in RS3 have nothing to do with OP as they only play OSRS. The undeniable fact is if OP did cancel his member, he will not be playing OSRS member content and apparently OSRS member content didn't interest them.

Let me remind you that my initial post that RS3 did not support OSRS was in reply to someone who was not the OP that stated otherwise. And you just had to jump in, while being wrong all at the same time.

We (meaning me and the person I replied to) both were talking about the OP (the post, not the person).
A quick search for financial statements came back with OSRS making slightly more just on subscriptions than RS3 does with both subscriptions and MTX combined. So...no...
I'm not surprised old school makes more money, are you? Have you seen the state of RS3 recently? It's a clown world.
I don't know if OP were driven to cancel their membership by OSRS bots or lack of meaningful content. I guess that's the result of their -7% revenue growth in Jagex's last financial report. Hopefully when OSRS can get better incomes in the future then they can have money to take care of bots and make better content. By then, OP may resub.
I just cancelled membership on two accounts. The message displayed immediately after cancellation told me to come here to elaborate on cancellation. I only play OSRS, but the Runescape 3 battle pass update has me no longer wishing to maintain membership.
Thank you.
Understandable ... you aren't the first nor the last to take some time off to elaborate your future endavours and see what to do.
Luckily RuneScape will remain here for a very long time and the door is always open to continue or start from scratch. Good luck and see you in the future.

Nope, not at all, and it always has. If it wasn't for MTX RS3 would have a very tiny staff and even less updates/maintenance than it is getting now. Half of it's income is MTX lol
A lot of those who just quit won't be coming back because Hero Pass was just a trigger, the underlying problems are much more severe. Their new Jagex account nonsense is going to cost them one active at my house now, and stopped three more from joining.
My wife and I created an alt, premier account from day one, because she wanted to do the quests again (we are both max levels). I took care of the training and upkeep, plus whatever quests she didn't want to do or finish. We are mostly done with it, and I was going to let my grand daughter use it to try out as she had expressed interest.
That in turn would have led to her own account, and my daughter and her husband were going to rejoin as well. That all just went bye bye, because account sharing is bad.
So my wife and I both shared all of our Steam games with her because that is allowed, and now she is doing something else. That's called "unintended consequences".

Ye. I was maxed too. After I quit cos of sof, I'd just buy a bond in game whenever there was an update and play it so I lost my £3.50 grandfather rate cos I was continuous member from like 2006. The take over of MTX being called updates and seeing every update drowned in mtx.
I played old skl day 1 though. I won't be logging in for a few years I don't think. I haven't till recently for like 3 years.

Many OSRS players are leaving. They can come back later but monetization may likely be different depending on the owner at time. I guess OP probably isn't paying a grandfathered rate, as some OSRS players I know aren't leaving yet even they are bored is they don't want to lose the cheap $5 or $6 a month grandfathered membership.
I quit the grandfsthered rate because of sof and because updates were so few and far between I was easily able to pay them nothing ever again and play every update.
I think scouse gave me a bond.
Sorry was gonna pay u back but they banned me scouse.
But basically you could probably comp all rs3 updates in one month membership whereas before I paid 3.50 and had a never ending game.
