I see we have new stuff at the crater for summer skilling, but I'm guessing not The Beach, due to your post, Molly. I haven't had time to pop in there to see what's what.

(also, thank you for not leaving me to be the lone poster on this page! lol)

No not the Beach but on the Dev Q&A (on Reddit) they said they might bring the Beach back if they could make it better than a copy/paste. But I doubt this year we'll see it. =(

the event is a bitch - unless you spend approx 10 hours a day on it or buy your way through it you won't be able to complete it. Maybe it's a way for them to pay for the new bank and weapon rework - an event you can only complete if you spend $$$ or many, many hours a day on. how fucking sad Jagex!
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!

Okay, so this Summer skill off event is showing a more negative side of the RS3 community.

They seem to only care about the best XP rates that are easy and fast. How is one supposed to socialise with other people, who only want the XP gains? The whole RuneScape game is filled with loads of content that are to bring life and fun into the game, instead players detest at those content with a fun side, choosing to get more XP gains, rather than take a break and do other things in the game that bring good entertainment.

The newer people of the community are getting more exposed to the idea that XP gains are the definition of the game. How would Jagex feel, if their game they developed is considered a free easy and fast XP gaining game.

All of things associated with the entire XP topic should not be the entire definition of our favourite game called RuneScape. How can we have fun, if we only focus on getting as much XP as possible? There's so much more to our original and main game than just XP gains. There's no happiness, if we all are obsessed with getting loads of XP.

We must do something to teach newer players of RuneScape, that not everything in the game is about gaining a whole load of XP easy and fast or slow and hard.

The event that's happening for a week now is not going to make RuneScape any more popular.
We have to get Jagex to develop events that are not solely about XP gains. If we had more events in the form of a minigame or miniquest that's not permanent, it would be great and much better than events like the one happening now, where it encourages you to get tokens via skilling and then spend too much hours getting lots of those tokens to get a cosmetic reward.
Why don't we get cosmetic rewards from a more low intensity event that is not entirely focused on skilling.

It's a personal choice on whether or not you rush for xp. I look at it as it will come in due course. After all had some time earlier today that I could log in and do a large dungeon. Instead I opted for hanging out with my clanmates and hunt a few penguins with them to make their search slightly easier. Actually spotted the Draynor spawned crate wandering around the Edgeville Monestary for them.
When the day becomes the night and the sky becomes the sea, when the clock strikes heavy and there’s no time for tea; and in our darkest hour, before my final rhyme, she will come back home to Wonderland and turn back the hands of time.

Back from my one week holiday from the 23rd to now. Took mom to vietnamese restaurant, liked the bill so I tipped 15%. What'd I miss?

Idk where you live or your financial situation, but 15% is just an average tip. If you really want to show appreciation 20% or more is how you tip. Where I am anyway. Poor waitpeoples.

Also you missed dxp and that's about it.

Welcome back JC!
