You have to commence an account recovery in order to add a new registered email address. Considering the fact that you no longer have access to the current email address on your account, you must prove to Jagex that you indeed own the account so that you are given the ability to remove the old one registered email address and replace it with a new one (preferably, a GMail account) during the account recovery process.
In order to start account recovery process, you must head to this Support article
Changing your registered email
and click on the
Recover Account
link. As soon as you click on it, fill out the details are that required. You will then be promoted with the "contact Jagex support" message. Click on it and follow the instructions.

Xalbot0, I had to remove your original post as it named and shamed a specific player. However, I've reproduced it below, with the sensitive info redacted:

I dont know where else to post this or who to contact but all players should be aware of a scam that has cost me a great deal of my characters wealth.
You receive a message from someone who claims to be Jagex staff( the peson who contacted me was [redacted]) .
They claim that you have been invited to be a player mod and to fill in application and give you a link . The link is very realistic and looks and sounds very much like jagex.
Unfortunately on this application they ask for your bank pin to confirm who you are and stupidly I told them .
I have lost nearly 300million in gold plus some extremely rare armour and lots of saleable herbs and potions.
If anyone from Jagex reads this I also have another name who they may be able to trace to find the culprits .
I did not have the second layer of security in plac e which I strongly advise all players to get .
As far as taking action on this kind of situation, you can report the player in-game, send an email to [email protected] to flag the issue to Jagex that way, or use the Phishing Report Centre as Tren suggested above. Any and all of these will be helpful. Thank you!
WOW! What an excellent guide. Someone just posted about an email that they think came from Jagex, which prompted me to search for threads about email security and this came up! Thanks for this outstanding guide, Minigames. Also, I like your name!
