Is there any way to revert the cost of membership back to what it once was? Paying Around $13USD a month for members seems a little too steep. I feel like a lot more people would subscribe to membership also. I remember back when it was $5. I'd love to pay that. Maybe $7 is ok to.

If you had maintained your membership, it would still be charged at the old price.

Otherwise, no, there's no way to go back to grandfathered rates.

Absolutely! Buy 12 month Premier Club and you will be paying $6.67 per month. It is even cheaper than the $7 a month you mentioned. They are also offering 1 month and 6 month Premier Club soon. Even if you only want to buy 1 month membership at a time, the one month Premier Club offer will be only $8, not much more than the $7 you are willing to pay, and far below the $12.5 a month regular membership fee.

There are also a lot more RS3 benefits in Premier Club, even the one month offer. I see there is really almost ZERO POINT to buy regular membership and not Premier Club soon.

Regular membership and even grand fathered regular membership will be almost dead content soon.

Ironically the membership date under my name was when the rates increased and it locked in the 1st grandfathered rate. Granted with the tax that is now required to be collected where I live it basically added $1 per month to my membership.

This is incorrect. There will be Premier Addon packages for 1 month ($7.99) and 6 months ($39.99), but this is on top of the standard monthly membership fee ($12.49), so would cost a total of $20.48 per month.

The best value options are:

* Grandfather rates for standard membership providing a subscription did not lapse for more than 14 days.

You can easily earn the money with your skills in-game to pay for bonds. No need to pay real money for membership.

Yes, so technically we can pay $0.00 instead of $7.00 OP preferred to get membership. This is also probably why the 1 month and 6 month Premier ADD-ON are feasible. At least for those who have already on subscription for the past few months or years with bonds or gifted membership can still obtain full Premier Club benefits with just $6.67 or $8 month per month out-of-pocket payment.

Otherwise, the best value membership plan is the $6.67 per month 12 month Premier Club package, barring future limited time offers that may or may not come.
