I realize this is probably futile considering what's underlined in their policy in regards to Diango, but I've seen people claim that support is willing to fix player stupidity from time to time.
Is there any chance Jagex would be willing to un-modify skilling headgear? I realize there is a very clear warning that the action cannot be undone and I accepted that risk, but allow me to explain. This is due to a lack of information on the subject in which I made the error.
You see, I like the look of some skilling pieces and want to keepsake them. After some research I found out that trying to do so will save a 'copy' rather than lock away the item. I did this for the Blacksmith's mask before modifying it, because I found the modification to be ugly. I now have an unmodified mask in keepsakes and a modified item in my bank. Perfect.
Now, I wanted to keepsake the Botanist's mask too. Difference is, I was fine with the modified look. So I modified it and tried keepsaking afterwards... and this is where the problem lies. Nothing I read told me that once modified, the keepsake box would now lock away the item instead of making a copy... and for a skilling piece, you can see why that's not acceptable. I can't use its benefits from keepsakes. Furthermore, I can't reclaim a second copy from Diango; it tells me I already own it in my keepsake box if I want it back.
I'm willing to eat the loss of my key, but I'd rather not be forced to choose between form over function in regards to the item. Am I completely SoL here or is this something Jagex would at all be willing to consider?
