Working on getting my overloads upgraded all the way, and killing K'ril a bunch to try and get the Subjugation armor here :-) Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

I recommend this Wiki just to build one or two details on top of your necromancy dps. I found the 'Hybrid' section good for ideas.

Blood reaver, Salve (e) amulet/Blood Fury and auras are a nice base to build from. The best dps incantations require hp sacrifices, so any type of overload that keeps soul split going will be nice.

I think penance powder, berserker's fury relic and no armour could help.

Personally, my coin stack leaves me unable to afford vulnerability bombs, Scripture of Wen and Grimoire pages.

If I had 5b coins, I would save it for the new runes, and augmentable T70 death guard/skull lantern.

I didn't even swap any hours. I just came back after four days away. The thing is I don't even have quests left to do. All completed a while ago. Doing The Beach thing again but not sure how long I can bring myself to jump in the Hole. Already have 120 Dung. At this point, I'm just doing it for Clawdia but that's nearly done too. Ugh.

You will have plenty to do even before Necromancy then. A new quest called Dead snd Buried is due out soon, definitely before Necrmancy. You won't even be able to wear your QPS really soon, let alone the superior MQC.

Yes, you can actually AFK all the way to level 120 just doing Rituals (except time needed to complete quests perhaps). It is really cool for skillers and even couch potatoes. Not only can you play Diablo 4, you can also watch TV and still be enjoying RS3's new Necromancy skill. Triple your entertainment! :)

If you prefer to AFK, get yourself a lot of bones now. Then it is mostly a matter of buying candles and other ritual items from the NPC. You may need to complete quests to unlock higher level rituals though.

On the other hand, you can actually play Necromancy the click intensive ways of slaying mobs and bosses. You can also play Diablo 4 at the same time AFK too. I'll suggest Barbarian Thorns build. You can just tank like a rock AFK in Diablo 4 spamming AOE, while hacking and slashing your way to Level 120 Necromancy in RS3. I don't know if Blizzard borrow this idea from RS3' aggression potions and Sophonem dungeon. :D

See? Even ARPGs like D4 have evolved. There are AFK-enable or less click intensive content too to allow their players to tend to other things IRL. Similar cool idea with RS3, especially Necromancy.

Actually I like to play FFXVI more than D4. For the very same reason, I am also looking into ways to play RS3 Necromancy and FFXVI at the same time. Necromancy seems to be a very flexible and welcome content to players of the other games too.
