I had been following this, and when it revived followed again. Lots of edits in real time, some of which I wish I'd preserved, lolol.
It gave me hope (for a brief shining moment)

I'll admit that's one aspect i won't miss about the forums; the forum mods tended to lean towards some form of absurd authority, it was partly why i refrained from using the forums

Still, it would heartless to discard the historical significance of this place, it has its own unique tinge which Reddit or whatever fad site can never rival

18 years of agreeing with EVERYTHING Jagex does over 30k posts and they never even made him a forum mod. I bet he must be gutted lol. I wonder what he will do with himself all day now?

Aren't you all being a tad cruel? I would prefer to keep the forums, even if it means putting up with a numpty, rather than lose them completely.

If he hasn't bothered you in perticular, you can't really understand how glad I am I won't be seeing him ever again.

I had a look at the reddit post announcing the change, and despite the original post being focused on the forums being closed the comments were overwhelmingly about F-Mods and painting them in a negative light.

Unfortunately I think a few bad apples on here ruined forums for everyone and was a big reason why forums died off. It certainly was one of those reasons, alongside being abused by another player. Against Raffle Rigging since 2015
