Somewhere far into the wilderness, deep within a lair beneath earth long charred black, there lived an heir to the ancient line of kings and warriors.
Upon a solid throne of bronze, gilded with dust, he waited.
It had been thirty years past, that day when the exiled king walked alone, bloody and beaten; but not defeated.
That king, for whom squires, knights, and armies alike knelt.
And upon that dust-gilded throne he had waited thirty years hence.
For what?
He knew that ashes to ashes, dust to dust, his kingdom would some day be his again.
He knew because the mahjarrat had told him so.

Recently found this in my history, and I feel the need to say-
As one of the few people there for most of SW, no clan was perfect. Everybody had members and ranks who danced in the lobby and flamed everyone they saw. (even when the clan had a rule against doing so, like DS did) But the bigger problem was that everyone who could win a game alone saw themselves as infallible and 'THE GREATEST SW CLAN TO EVER LIVE'. As a long time member of DS I am of course a little biased, but you don't really know whats going on behind the scenes until you get ranked in a clan. I first visited SW as a level 80-something, and spent a little time in leech clans. I found out that those no-level-req clans didn't actually own the world after advertising enough to get a rank in some leech clan named megazeals. I was told to go into 'demonslay_cc' or get a friend to go in, and repeat their call to the countless noobs in megazeals. After a little while I realized I wanted to be a part of the clan that really owned the world, so I tried joining the DS cc. Of course the high level clans have ranks constantly checking combat levels of new people, so it only took a few minutes for Skyder (a general in the cc) to pm me using quickchat. I'll never forget how scared I felt when I saw that 'What is your combat level?' pop up in my PM. After a short conversation he told me they would be happy to have me, but I would need to get AT LEAST a combat level of 100 first. Back to green dragons I went. At 100cb I joined them again, but the ever-vigilant DS Nomad wasn't having it. He told me I should try joining their allied clan '**bysArmy', which advertised a 105+ cb req. I was a little confused because their name back in my leech days was 'ObbySquires'. All they would say when I asked was that the owner of Squires/Kings 'went crazy'. Besides that I felt pretty welcome until I got kicked. About an hour later I rejoined the cc to try and figure out what happened.

I was told by a star-rank that I was 'probably kicked on accident' and to get over it. I had my PM on all the time back then, and nobody sent me a message saying something along the lines of 'Ahh sorry I messed up' so I thought if this was a common thing for them I would be better off just trying to get into my first choice again. By this time I was 103 combat, but still not good enough in Nomad's eyes. A little while after he rejected me, Nomad sent me a PM saying I could join DS if I went to W145 (or 143, I can't really remember which..'). So I went. We were getting completely destroyed by some clan named 'SW Ancients' or SWA for short. In my eyes SWA has always been the most intimidating and badass crasher clan because of this. But I didn't really understand why they were fighting us, I mean we were amazing, why anyone would want to attack us was beyond me. After a few games we were told that Obby clans never hopped and were trying to recruit our members, so if they weren't going to contribute we shouldn't bother trying either. As soon as I got back to W44 I saw a bunch of spam saying things like 'Obbysarmy 105+ 3 zeals guaranteed!" 'ObbysArmy 105+ We wont let you lose!' But hey whatever it was pretty common for clans to advert things like that, so I dismissed it. After one game however, members from other alliance clans were coming into our cc and demanding us to return to help. I saw several ranks say that we weren't going to stretch ourselves thin if obbys weren't, but they were met with insults because apparently, the Obby clans HAD hopped. Of course OA and DS had elite clans which I can only assume had remained on the other world to help our allies, but Obbys had literally waited for DS to return to W44 before going off to help, so that they could shift the blame to us when we predictably returned to W44. It was this kind of behavior that led most of DS to disliking OA.
