Hi Have an issue where people logging in and out won't update in the clan chat (e.g) like say 'player one' logs out, on my friends list he is offline but is still on a world in my clan chat. Thank you.

Hey Kerfuffley,

Players are able to turn their private message offline so they appear offline but remain logged into the game which also means still being online in clan chat. Some of my clan members do this if they don't want to be messaged but remain in clan chat so I know they are around.

Hey Kerfuffley,

Thanks for getting back in touch.

That sounds very interesting. This is not something I have heard or experienced. I know sometimes there is a slight delay but it is very slight. Please add me ingame and pm me if you see me on so I can watch it with you.

Hi there, I'm sure this has probably been answered somewhere but having issues finding anything.. as such, here's my dilemma.

Is there any way to broadcast a Thread Link via the Login message so that members can see it and press the link straight to the thread such as how it is done when we login after an Update and Jagex have a link sitting in the chat for us to click?

Just wondering because we're trying to rebuild our clan and I feel using a Forum post will be the best way to gauge how people would want to see the group move forward in a way that is easier than just having an informal chat via CC. If this isn't possible then I'll look into something else we can do to get around it.

Thanks in advance,
Serion

Hi Serion Ray,

Only Jagex moderators have the ability to broadcast links to players through the chatbox. This is likely a step to ensure account security. However, clan leaders can set a login message for their clanmates.

If you navigate to your clan interface, you should see a gold 'i' button. If you right-click it, you'll see a few options regarding the clan log (which relates to the citadel) as well as an option to set your login message. The clan login message is exactly what it says on the tin; a message sent to clan members when they enter the game. You can type anything here (providing it's within the rules) such as a welcome message, instructions for the citadel, or a congratulatory message for a specific clan member. You could also use this space to advertise your thread.

At this juncture, it's worth noting that RuneScape offers to support to clans on a number of levels. Clan leaders are able to create a traditional forum thread to advertise their clan, which many clans still do. However, there's also the specific 'Clans' section under the community tab. This is a special area, which tracks things such as your citadel level, clan experience, stats, and members. It also has its own forum section for your clan, with slightly more in the way of moderation tools for clan leaders. It also has the usual bold, italics, underline, and centre commands, although you can't see them.

On your clan interface in-game, click the 'i' icon, which brings up the 'clan details' interface. Near the top left, you should see some text that reads 'Official Forum' with a unique code next to it. If you click the code, it will take you straight to your clans' page. You can also find the link under clan settings.

I hope that helps.

Hello,

I created a clan a few hours ago and I am unable to access the clan's thread forums. I was trying to create a forum to post the ID on my vexillum but each time I attempt to view the clan's forum it says "nothing interesting happens. page not found" I have logged out and in, restarted browsers but the message still remains.

Help please.

@ Taus - The thread ID for the vexillum isn't meant to be a link to a quick find code on the RS Forums, but a thread ID from the your clan's personal forums attached to your RS Clan webpage, as reached through Main Menu > Community > Clans

I have recently created a clan. Have 10 members but for some reason Runeclan tracker cant see my clan. Help anyone???

Hey, I know this reply is incredibly late from you posting this question but I figured I'd answer it in the off-chance you see it or if others who are having the same question end up seeing it.

So there appears to be an issue between RuneClan and Runescape where it seems that maybe information either isn't being transferred between the two properly, or RuneClan itself is just having an issue.

You aren't alone in experiencing this as myself as well as many other clan owners who created their clan around March 2021 to now are experiencing this same exact issue. It seems like it's slowly being fixed, as it almost seems to allow you to add your clan but won't actually show anything, as where initially it just said "clan doesn't exist or can't parse information".

Hopefully this will be fixed soon though!
