Why am I not receiving the buff from the avatar?

1 – Make sure the Avatar is on the same world as you.

2 – Some buffs [e.g. the combat buffs] only work if you are close to the avatar, so make sure you know which buff your avatar is using.

3 – Make sure you have paid 300 anagogic orts to the avatar in order to be able to receive the buff for one week.

Why has our avatar disappeared from its habitat?

1 - Another clanmate may have forgotten to dismiss the avatar before logging off. In this case it will return after 6 hours.

2 - If your citadel has dilapidated, the avatar will have disappeared. Simply reach the upkeep requirements for the next week to get the avatar back.

3 - Sometimes the avatar disappears when you exit the citadel. Try calling it first. If that does not work and the avatar has no reappeared in its habitat then submit a bug report.

How do I post a thread link on our vexillum?

The only threads you can link on your vexillum are those on your clan forum. You cannot add a link to this thread, for example.

Therefore, to add a link to your vexillum:

1 – Go to your clan page forum [log into the RS website, then go to Community > Clans, the click on Forums to the left of your clan banner].

2 – View the thread you would like to make a link to.

3 – Copy the Thread ID, found at the top right corner of the thread.

4 – In-game, click on the clan chat tab. [the box with the 3 yellow men near your friend’s list tab*

5 – At the bottom of the clan chat window, click on the ‘Clan Settings’ button.

6 * In the window that opens, click on ‘Clan Settings’ again [found at the top in the centre]

7 – Click Edit Thread ID and paste in the Thread ID to the thread you wanted.

Note 1: If you would like to allow player who are not in your clan to see the thread, make sure to make it public. You can find the option to make the thread public at the top of the thread.
Note 2: You must be in clan chat to be able to edit the Thread ID on the vexillum.

Our clan’s statistics have changed a lot all of sudden – why?

1 – When a member leaves your clan, their contribution to the clan is not immediately removed.

2 – The clan xp, killcount etc. of all the members who have left is removed at the same time once a month or so.

3 – When this clan statistics maintenance happens, the combined change can be very large.

Why do threads on my clan forum page disappear?

1 – Threads which are not stickied on your clan forum are automatically deleted two weeks after the last post.

2 – To avoid this, you can choose to stick a maximum of 5 important threads. The option to stick a thread can be found at the top of that thread.

3 – If you have already used up all 5 stickies, it is suggested you bump* the threads you want to keep every week or so and also keep copies of them saved on a word document on your computer. Editing any of your posts on the thread also resets the two week timer it seems :)

* a bump is making any post on the thread. I usually just post 'bump'

Thanks to Vreemdelinge for helping with this post :)

Our leader has become inactive – what can we do?

To fix it yourself, the only way is for the inactive leader to return.

It has been known for JMods to intervene and sort these issues out. However, for them to do so, you must post on the Inactive Clan Leaders thread and the criteria listed must be met. These criteria are:

Mod Matthe said :
1) Your Clan Leader must have been inactive (ie not logged in) for over 12 months.
2) One of the existing Clan deputies must have been active in the last 7 days.
3) The request for change of ownership must be made by an existing clan deputy.

Please note such requests will take a while to complete.

Why can't Admins+ temporarily kick people from my clan?

1 - There is a temporary kick option for clan chat which can be found by clicking on the golden arrow to the right of a member's name.

2 - However, this temporary kick only works on guests in the clan chat. Unfortunately, you cannot temporarily kick a clan member.

Note:
It is possible to manually mute members in clan chat;

1 - On the permissions, set the corporal ranks as the minimum rank needed to talk in clan chat.

2 - Demote the member you would like to mute to recruit - they will not be able to speak.
