How can I remove the kicking permission from Admin+ ranks?
How can I remove the rank-changing permission from Admin+ ranks?
How can I stop Admin+ ranks changing the clan motif, motto and keywords?

At the moment several permissions cannot be removed from admin+ ranks.
These are:
- The ability to kick clan members
- The ability to change the clan motif, motto and keywords
- The ability to change ranks

So there is currently no way to stop admins+ editing these areas of the clan =(

However, it appears that Jagex may be working on making these permissions more flexible, so hopefully the issue will be resolved in the near future :)

Please change the settings to let me change kick rank, it will probably only take a couple minutes for jmods to fix and it will be the most useful thing ever!

Thanks.

This would require an entire rewrite of the permissions systems (a few months) which is something that we've been pushing for for a few years.

Unfortunately, clan updates aren't as simple as you would think. The code that makes up the Citadel and Clan System is the most complex code in the entire game, as far as I'm aware. Changing even the simplest thing in clans can break everything. Just to put in perspective, it took approximately 2 years to code the Citadel and Clan System.

Take Citadel updates for example, if Jagex were to update something in the Citadel, they would need to individually check every single ground tile to make sure it didn't break. I think there's somewhere around 100k tiles that need to be manually checked, but I'll edit this post if I find the number.

Also, this thread probably isn't the best place to ask for updates. Jmods don't typically check this because it's monitored by players who answer questions that others have about clans. We can't really help with something like that. :(

Hi guys, just wondering if any of you have ever encountered this:

We had a clan member who left and the clan broadcast system did not announce it. A few minutes later, another clan member left, and the broadcast announced that leaving. Is this something that is doable or merely a glitch in the system?

(Yes we've checked our clan broadcast settings - was set to Recruit+). The first person who left did not have authority to change the settings so there was no way they could have done it. Also Admins+ are notified by the clan system when a setting is changed.

Would really appreciate an input as this is bugging us :S

Thank you kindly.

I'm sure the clan member who left didn't do something sketchy to dodge the broadcast of his leaving. There are a few bugs with the broadcast system because of the way clan data is stored on the server.

I'm not sure why that happens, but I have noticed it quite a few times with members leaving and not triggering a clan system broadcast for it.

Alright, thanks for your input Sicariu. Much appreciated :)

I have a question!

Years ago I remember stumbling across a forum rule that stated I could not create more than one recruitment forum thread in all recruitment categories. I have found a couple clans that have recruitment threads in both "130+ combat" and "Social Clans" for example. So I'm wondering if being able to create more than one thread for clans that are more than 1 type is something that is allowed or not. Thanks for reading!

Hi Luna Kitten,

No, creating more than one recruitment thread is not permitted on the forums. Each clan is only allowed to post one recruitment thread in whichever recruitment section best suits them.

If you happen to come across clans who break this rule, you can report the duplicate threads to Forum Help to provide Forum Mods with the Titles and Quick Find Codes of each thread so that the unnecessary threads can be locked.

If you have threads to report, here's the link to Forum Help

Okay so why is the "flag" option only for "real life issues"? Shouldn't there be more options like flaming, spamming, and forum rule breaking? It would be a lot easier.
