I remember the night that for all intents and purposes, ownership of The RSB Gazette was transferred by written word to GJ by Dark Shade21.

Presently halfway through exams so i figured i would pop in and see if the Gazzette was still deteriorating away... im happy to see that it isn't now and i'm really happy to see it in this new form
Its got a new life and real potential so i really do hope that you can continue it to success and wish you the best of luck with it!
I'll be honest. When i said i was going to return after exams it was my intention to finally end the Gazzette as it was hard to see in the state it was in, and i knew that i'd maybe have a month max to try with it, but after that i'd be busy again so gone with wasted efforts. Im glad that it's finally picked up and there is no need to do this =/
I know as life progresses for me and i move from college to uni etc my time is going to literally, like the past two years further prevent me from really partaking in this wonderful community as i used to again =/ but with that said i can happily leave it to just pop in at times knowing that this thread is now under superb ownership

Quick note to everyone.
If you remember i myself didn't see eye to eye with Jess a while ago, and in some ways still don't see eye to eye with the current changes (As many people will know i was highly Anti-Union & felt that kept the gazzette neutral from politics..)
However that said, i am still happy that its being taken on and am hoping for the best as it seems prospective... a few people, people i respect a lot, seem doubtful with this, and all i will ask is that people give the same support they gave me, and the people i selected personally to follow in order to help this thing succeed in its new format =]

I am not one for heresay as there is always an element of personal interpretation injected therefore I much prefer what I see or hear for myself and as that is being questioned, I would like your view on it.
Like the majority of those active on the thread on that particular night, I understood that ownership had indeed changed hands and in the following weeks that belief was reinforced a number of times. Perhaps you can explain to me as to what Dark Shade21's above comments actually meant as it would seem that now, four months on, controversy is reigning supreme on a stance that was initially accepted by most.
I still recall both Laurels and NJ's dissatisfaction that The Gazette had been placed in GJ's hand's and the ensuing negative posts thereafter so I came here in search of an honest answer.

Greetings Lady Sinaria, I hope you're well this rainy night.
In the past, Dark was indeed happy to see that the project he helped to create all those years ago had not died, and that someone had kept the project rolling. However, when I contacted him saying that The Gazzette had made an appearance on the forums again, (as any friend upon here used to do as a common courtesy) His views changed on the matter. Dark Shade Returned with this reply to God Justice:

I was banking on Nj’s pack flaming this thread to keep it bumped, unfortunately my work laptop was far too busy typing up speeches for this case tomorrow to be bumping this newspaper – my compliments to Pebbles and his team for a continued service as to keeping this threat at the top of the forums.
Juiol: I don’t post on God Justice1 because it doesn’t have “Clan Leader” access anymore.
Oh, and I found this on page 74 of the old thread, Nj. I will be very happy if you left off with Dark's intentions!

I intended to support you the first time you tried this when people weren't all seeing eye to eye with what you were doing.
Then you let the gazzette die and go into deterioration yourself. You left it and went silent and added nothing on the matter for a stupidly long time. This is when you gave up for your holdership of the RSB Gazzette.
I gave this thread to the community when i left the RSB, not to anyone one person. So if you want a newspaper or media form please, stop trashing the one i made and managed for nearly 3 years and make your own.
Personally right now i'd rather see the thread get put to rest than for it to stay with you, jumping straight in with an established paper and trying to take an easy way by taking something from the community.

Now, Dark has sent me 3-4 letters about how The Gazzette is for the Community. There wasn't a rotational system put into place when God Justice brought back The Gazzette, and that was one of the reasons Dark was upset. Another is that his work no longer even looked like what it used to, and the threads weren't staying neutral, as God Justice chose to bring back a well-respected newspaper at the wrong time, creating more chaos and confusion that it didn't need.

Thankyou Rebel, after a short bout with illness I am indeed well again :)
I appreciate your answer, although I still find a few points rather ambiguous but, as the community is finally starting to settle I think it's probably best if I refrain from inadvertently fanning any embers back to life with continued discussion on the issue.
I wish you goodluck in all your endeavours and I look forward to reading The RSB Gazette once again.
