WHAT IS THE RSWL? HOW DOES IT WORK?

The RS Warring League (RSWL) is a P2P purple portal clan wars competition. It consists of several ladders, reflecting different types of wars (such as fullout or matched). The aim of the clans participating is to fight their way to the #1 rank in the ladders they are in. Clans holding those spots can claim to be one of the strongest warring clans in RS3.

A ladder is a list of clans (or teams), ordered by warring strength. To take the place of a team that is above you in a ladder, you need to challenge that team to a war. If you win, you take their spot and they move down one. If you lose, no change happens to the ladder.

If no team challenges any other, nothing happens in the RSWL. So if your clan signs up, please be prepared to challenge and be challenged.

I would like to war with friends, but they are not in the same clan as me. Can we war together?
Yes. However, read this post carefully for the exact rules on memberlists.

Our clan/team is new and bad at warring. Does that mean we should not join?
Starting to war is intimidating for many new clans. The Clan Wars Guide is aimed at helping new clans integrate. The RSW also gives beginner clans certain benefits to help them out a bit and and has ladders where armour and weapons are restricted, for those clans who are not rich enough to the best equipment. So if you think warring looks fun, give it a shot and see how it goes!

Not many people in our clan turn up to events, is it worth joining?
If your clan cannot bring at least 10 people to war, it may not be worth signing up right now. You can war with less, but even in a matched war, the other clan is not obliged to drop their number below 10 so you will be at a disadvantage. -

How often would we have to war if we joined a ladder?
This depends on how often your clan challenges and gets challenged. The minimum is one war every 2 months, but wars may also be more frequent.

We joined the ladder but noone is warring us. Why?
To schedule a war in the RSW you need to challenge the clan above you in the ladder or wait for the clan below you to challenge you. If you are not getting a war but would like one, you should make a challenge. Click here for instructions on how to challenge a clan.

For now the only rewards are pride and glory More concrete rewards are being discussed - suggestions are welcome

BEGINNERS

All clans joining the RSW will be classified as beginners until they have fought and won 3 wars (wins by forfeit do not count).

We are aware that joining the clan wars scene may be intimidating for most new clans. You will be up against clans who have better gear and more experience so the start will be a test of resolve. Success is largely down to the will of your clan, but the RSW offers some small perks for beginners. These include:

- Immunity which applies to all ladders while a war is scheduled.
- Greater priority for finding a warring mentor who can help train and advise your clan.
- Some leniency on punishments. The degree of leniency is at the discretion of the RSW Council.
- A beginner's clan activity period in the RSW can be reset by having a friendly war with any other RSW clan, rather than by a ranked war.
- A TeamSpeak that can be used by beginner clans who do not have their own -
