Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone knows effective ways to train defence without gaining constitution xp. I don't plan on training any skills other than defence or doing any quests. I'll be a low level and can't do pest control.

I'm thinking that getting zeal at soul wars would probably be the best, but if anyone knows something better, please let me know.

Thanks.

Death to the Dorgeshuun. on P10 says you get some hp exp, however this comment was made pre-eoc. So has this changed since then to where you don't get exp at all, or do you still get some exp?

EDIT: Death to the Dogeshuun can be completed without gaining any exp, simply do as said on Page 10, but instead of gaining any exp you gain none because of the way EOC works. (You still need to teleport out when she first shoots, and then trap her etc.)

(Page 58 didn't specify that you don't get exp from Zanik's first shot anymore, which is why I was so unsure)

Did Contact! today, killed the scarab on my main first and it didn't give exp as it just crumbles into a group of scarab swarms, the locust helpers did give exp, so avoid them.

Took a while for me to actually kill him since I'm a lvl 3 skiller, but again I got no exp.

@Jad Tank, Prickley Pear seeds are about the only good way to get Defence xp w/o doing minigames in game. Can also do Jack of Trades aura runs for an xp lamp. Defence and Attack are the only two skill that don't have a "decent" way to train them w/o hp xp gain. If you have any questions feel free to guess in our clan "Hitpoint Hierarchy." Blackston is a Naabe.

@Close,
The Great Brain Robbery
and
Rum Deal
cannot be TFK'd anymore. You actually have to recoil the Fever Spider and Sorebones or else you won't receive the drops.

Also thanks to Cinderbanes, Slash Bash in
Zogre Flesh Eaters
can easily be recoiled without the need to summoning more or hitting any damage.

Rocking Out
- TFK

Anyone who has completed the quest can return back to the jail. You can hit a 0 and have your alt or a friend kill the Custom's Officer for no xp gain.

Method by: 9y Mc 9face

Alternate Method: Poison/Deflect Curses

As you can't bring any items into the Rocking Out prison, what you can do is drink potions before you go inside. I brought a poison pot and overload and drank a dose before entering the instance. I assumed Strength determines ability damage and the higher your damage, the better your poison will hit.

Once you get inside the prison, immediately exit your jail cell, punch one of the officers until they are poisoned, then go back into the jail cell and wait until you're out of combat. In order for the kill to count, you must exit the cell and use Provoke on the officer, but make sure you don't accidentally hit it. You should be able to get around 16-17 poison ticks and that should kill the officer. If it doesn't, pray flick with Deflect Melee to finish off the remaining hp.

So thankfully after a year or so of waiting, Mourning's End Part 1 and Missing My Mummy have both been changed to give lamps instead of direct xp opening up a huge number of quests for us... And here's how to do them:

Mourning's End Part 1
- Recoil Mourner

Mourning's End Part 2
- No Combat

Within the Light
- No Combat

Plague's End
- Recoil Everything

Citizens help you kill Mourners so you don't get any xp from their attacks and also makes the fight quick. Head Mourner, Sir Hugo, and all 3 Trahaearn Automatons can be recoiled normally. You have to eliminate each Greater Shadow or else you cannot place any mirrors down to complete the puzzles. You cannot DTD the Dark Lord so you must recoil 5 times, but you may restock between each kill.

The Light Within
- No Combat if you have 3 Light Cores already

You just need 3 Light Cores from the Shadow Creatures in Amlodd. You can TFK for those if you don't have them already.

Missing My Mummy
- Recoil

Crocodile Tears
- Recoil Ukunduka, but 1 DTD is highly recommended
Considering the fact he has 75k LP, you'd be there for a while, better to just DTD and skip the fight entirely.

Do No Evil
- Recoil, but 3 DTD is highly recommended

Small scarabs can easily be recoiled, but they have a 5 minute timer before they despawn. For the bosses, you may recoil them, however, I feel a DTD skipped a ton of time seeing as how they have very high LP (50k). For the last boss, Eruni, you have to recoil the Lesser Demon that spawns before you can DTD her.

Our Man in the North
- Recoil

Phite Club
- Recoil, but 1 DTD is highly recommended

Palace Guards can be recoiled, but you might take some heavy damage. It's best to trap one of the melee guards behind the other melee guard. Theoretically you can finish the Pharaoh with poison, but just use a DTD because 150k LP.

The Curse of Arrav
- Kill Arrav

Post by 9y Mc9face (P135): "Arrav is immune to poison, and recoiling him does not trigger dialogue. Instead, just fight him normally until he reaches 10k lp. At this point a conversation starts, after which he teleports away. Since he doesn't die, no xp is gained."

The Temple at Senntisten
- Recoil

It's best to use 3 Barrows totems (can buy from ge) on 3 brothers to skip those fights and they count towards the quest.

How did you manage to kill all four skeletons so fast in order to fight both mummy warriors in the smoking kills quest? (this is the part to get to catolax)

I have been struggling with this part... getting them all dead at the same time in order to spawn the mummy warrior. I have done it 3 times and it has taken many hours to do so. The next problem is that the mummy warrior will not drop the key when I kill him. How did you get it to drop the key?

Did you literally use dt darts on all 4 zombies, all 4 skeletons and both mummy warriors?
10 dt darts is a lot. You just said dtd, you didn't explain further.
