Adding to that, the only thing you'd have to recoil are the Gu Ronin/monks/dragons for the books. There's no other way around it. The rest of the miniquests give no combat xp at all.

Edit: added a mob

Just attempted to do Eagle's peak, and it would not give me the silver feather from the kebbit unless I actually damaged it. I killed it once by using confuse to target it, and then I coiled it down. It dropped bones, and not the feather. I had to do it again and actually damage it.

That tends to happen with older quests, the older bosses are coded different and you actually need to hit a little damage on it. The dog from priest in peril for example is this way. I think I recall eagles peak being different, but possibly didn't note it, its been a while since we've fully tested the quests.

Looks like it time to add a good bit more thanks to some quests converting to lamps. :)
Blackston is a Naabe.

For those level 3 skillers out there that are keen on completing Priest in Peril (and for any 10 hp pures that haven't yet done it), I can confirm that the post on P59 is still mostly accurate: recoil the Cerberus down to around 1 hp, kill it with a weapon, and a tiny amount (less than 1) of experience is gained. TFK wasn't working for me with the Monk of Zamorak, but recoiling it down to 18 health and killing it yielded fractional (less than 1) experience and caused the key to drop. Tested it today.

Just want to chime in and say thank you!! And confirm that this worked for me. I used the 1 HP method and was able to kill Cerebrus, also also used the 1 HP method on the Zamorak mage(he had 2 hp when I finished killing him but no xp thankfully). Likewise, TFK did not work for me for the key drop on the Zamorak mage.

No problem! This thread has helped me out so much, I'm glad I could contribute in a small way.

I'm currently working on finishing Tarn's Lair miniquest (Haunted Mine is still recoil-able). Both forms are really buggy, and I don't get credit for killing Tarn's 2nd form by just tagging and recoiling. I have some other things to try (don't have bolas), so I'll see if I can figure it out later.

UPDATE: Poison-then-run method does not work either. I think it's safe to assume that Reflect, bolas, or DTD is required to complete the miniquest. However, due to the fact that the boss is so buggy, I submitted a bug report. If Jagex eventually implements some kind of fix, the possible completion methods may change.

Since yesterday's update brought us so many new quests for us to complete, I've taken the liberty to finish all of the ones that we could do. Let's get started...

Shades of Mort'ton
- Recoil Shades (Need Bolas)

Shades has been bugged for a while now as even when you try to tag normally, they would unaggro after about 3 hits and aggro pots didn't work either. The only solution I have found is to use bolas and recoil. TFK doesn't work, FTK would grant xp.

Nature Spirit
- Recoil Ghasts (TFK does not work)

Fairy Tale pt.1
- Recoil Tanglefoot, no need to equip Magic Secateurs

Fairy Tale pt.2
- TFK Goraks for claw

Fairy Tale pt.3
- [Read info first] Recoil but NEED Poison(One at a time)

For the final fight you need to fight 3 Generals that each have a special attack. Shredflesh's special is to heal the other generals and your recoils alone cannot out damage it. It's best to focus on Gromblod and Bre'egth first then move onto Shredflesh and lastly the orks.

Once you poison a general, leave the arena to where the fairy ring is and wait for the general to die. Go back in and repeat. When fighting the orks PLANT the teeth in before you do and then recoil orks. Once you're up to Fairy Godfather, let the Ivory Generals take care of Fairy Godfather while you keep them healed. I'm sure there's an easier way to do all of this, but this is what I did.

In Search of the Myreque
- Recoil Hellhound

In Aid of the Myreque
- Kill Gadderanks and Vampyre J**inates/Route 2 J**inates

Kill the 2 J**inates first as they puff into smoke before dying. Gadderanks will interrupt the fight when he's defeated. Take Route 2 back to Paterdomus, kill the 2 J**inates as they turn into smoke when defeated.

Darkness of Hallowvale
- No combat

Cont.

Legacy of Seergaze
- Kill Guards and TFK Vyrewatch (wielding Ivandis Flail)

For the first battle, equip nothing but 2 styles (can use 1 style if using Legacy). Kill both Zamorak Silver and Fistandantilus as they do not die and teleport after both are slain. Weirdly, if recoiled or poisoned to 0 LP, they will not die and you can't attack them so you'd have to restart the fight.

TFK a Vyrewatch east of Burgh de Rott while wielding flail.

And last but not least!

The Branches of Darkmeyer
- Recoil (and PROVOKE) Citizens, Recoil Harold, and Kill Vanstrom Klause

Strange tactic needed for this quest. When you get to the part where you fight the citizens in the jail cell, you must tag, then use provoke, then recoil. Otherwise the kill will not count!

Throw the holy water onto Harold and recoil as normal.

For Vanstrom Klause, kill him normally (I suggest using Magic or Ranged) and dodge his special attacks. Once he's turned into Mist, just tank damage and throw holy water next to him until he's defeated. IMPORTANT : If Vanstrom Klause spawns bloodvelds, do not kill them as they will grant xp, leave the fight and come back to restart.

For when you turn into Vanescula, you may kill the bloodvelds normally. I suggest lining them up and darting through them until they are dead.
