I believe it helps slightly but you wont notice it much. The auras help more for the slower aspect of skills (Elders magics). When I did curly roots I had maybe a 30k xp increase in fm with aura.
Have some time off so was going to test some xp rates with crystal tools and also curious about xp rates with light familiar vs muspah.
