Remember only the codes listed on this thread will work. If you use those you will have more success

I don't seem to have a number pad. I have a gateway pc laptop. I also have found the FN key and the Alt key but not a number lock. i also have not located any little numbers on my keyboard. What should I do?

I have looked at some models of Gateway computers and they seem to have the numbers in those locations. If you want you can try to do some alt codes by converting them through the laptop portion of the guide.
If this doesn't help you then please post the model number of your computer. That way I will be able to view the exact keyboard that you have and help you out.
