6. What is RSW?

RuneScape Wrestling is a user generated event that centres on the heart of this game: combat. Based in 'Legacy Mode', it is an activity which takes place every week inside a player’s POH. I stress that this is an entirely safe activity. There is no risk to your items whatsoever.

Duels between two participants generally take place inside a Combat Ring, however for specialist match types there will of course be exceptions to that rule. Steel Cage Matches are for instance, quite fittingly, held inside a Steel Cage. Different matches will have different rules. Regular fights are melee only, however mage/range become legal in 'Hardcore' bouts. Pots, Food, Summoning and Visible Prayer also become legal in 'Hardcore', but are banned in normal rules matches.

RSW is an event structured along the same lines as real-life wrestling. Despite fighting with weapons and armour, we've adopted the same concepts of championships, gimmicks, Tag-Teams and more. This gives RuneScape Wrestling an edge over normal duelling.

To be a member of RuneScape Wrestling, it's true you need a thick skin. Trash-talking is common, but mostly in good taste. Nonetheless, you can also expect to make some good and very loyal friends in the process. For a lot of us, this industry is the only reason we still play this game.

Most of all with RSW, you can expect to have a good time. Shows are enjoyable events where you can test your mettle against some of the best fighters RuneScape has to offer. You can rise through the ranks to claim Championships, and become an in an industry which has been around for over a decade.
