I should say now that I most likely won't be able to attend the meeting planned for this Sunday. As some of you know, I work retail part-time, and witch this Friday being Black Friday, I am scheduled to be working all weekend. There is a chance that I might be sent home early on Sunday, but right now I can't guarantee it.
Given that, I felt it necessary to state my thoughts on what said had to say before.
In terms of leadership, I must say that I agree with option one. I prefer the idea of having multiple heads rather than just one or two. Even right now, we see how troublesome one individual can be just by disappearing. At least with an even council, we have more than one individual we can rely on should something serious arise. And like Jk pointed out, there are a fair number of individuals who want to help in rebuilding. It would be great to see some of our once successful departments up and running again. Guthix knows there are many who are qualified.
As for Election, I personally feel it is best to hold off on the "High Council" for now. We need something stable right now so we can get a better structure set up. I'd much rather we keep our focus there. A majority of us have a common interest in what we want to get done, so no need to put that on hold for anything. An election for the "Low Council" could be manageable, though. It could be part of the re-structure as we slowly reestablish departments such as Diplomacy and Events (or whatever we call it this time). From there, newly elected department heads would pick up where the High Council left off and oversee further progress.
I believe that's all I have to say in regards to leadership and elections. I hope it has been both informative and insightful. Should there be a vote this Sunday, please make sure my support goes to where I intend it.
