So, I appreciate your posts Sxy, and I truly appreciate the motivation and passion behind them. I will also start by saying that I will help you (and all the other members of RoV involved) in the efforts you explained.
However, I feel I need to clarify the plan that Greg and I have been talking to clan members about and working out over the past few weeks. First, while the word "disband" has been thrown around, we were not planning on disbanding.
Being a member of this clan has become part of my runescape identity. As long as I am playing this game, this clan will exist.
We planned on transitioning to operating out of a friend's chat instead of a clan chat. We planned on using the runescape forums to maintain a simple thread. This thread would explain who we were, when our occasional events would be, and allow us to keep in touch with allies. The cc would also be kept open by alts, to protect our clan name. I feel the community would still be able to stay strong being operated in this fashion.
The reasoning behind this idea: From talking to prominent members in the clan, I began to understand that many people are feeling trapped here. They must stay in RoV out of duty, loyalty, and friendship...yet we dont offer the structure and events that would make the clan even more fun. Furthermore, few of us have the time to devote to restructuring the clan and revamping it to the level we would like to fully enjoy it as a "clan chat." Therefore, I came up with the idea that we could operate out of a fc and thread, maintain our tight community, but also allow our members to join large social clans (via the cc function) that offer events which RoV is not able to offer. All of the members of the clan that Greg and I were able to contact in game were receptive to this idea, or were willing to follow those of us who thought it was a good idea.

Managed to achieve one of my goals today - got my first skill to level 90! It is also one of the PoP skills (cooking) so i can also access ports now
Just incase anyone is interested; lowest skill (excluding invention) is hunter at 71; have 4 skills between 80-90 and Cooking is highest at 90!
