My sincerest, fair Northerners, for skipping a week of the RD. But you'll be pleased to know that there are good things coming for KotN! This will likewise require some patience, as its nature demands gentle stewardship. And know ye that these good things will be hugely changing to the very core of our Kingdom. I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about this and have an inkling, perhaps you were so lucky as to have heard this mentioned directly from the loose lips of one of the Royals. Subclans! Coming to you soon.

What are subclans? Subclans are semi-autonomous groups within our kingdom, much like territories in a country. They individually have a distinguished theme, for example one subclan would be killers or the PVMers, another would be the skillers, and thus the former would engage itself in monster killing and loot hunting, and the latter would do all things grindy. They would vie for official membership, akin to how any given handful of clans recruit, and with that member-base do activities that befits their theme.

Why do we need subclans? Since the inception of KotN, us blue bloods have always envisioned them in our Kingdom. They give you more opportunity for definition and indeed depth to your role in this role-playing clan. They allow organization of members of the Kingdom into like-minded groups. And they are something I believe many of your fair Northerners will enjoy.

What if I'm not interested? Perfectly fine! They are completely optional for you to partake in. Our ranking system will, however, be updated to include subclans and subclan activity. Nothing to fear, but more details on this particular part will come later.

If you are interested, then you might ask...

So exactly what type of subclans are we going to have? We see fit to adding four subclans. One for each of the major aspects of RuneScape gameplay: PVM, PVP, skilling, and chilling. And again I won't deliver too much information on that right now. I will say, though, we are confident that with these four types of subclans, there will be something for everyone to grab and run with. Of course, if so chosen.

While I said it will be core changing, and it will be, it will not be bowel shaking and impaling with monster truck force.

Now excuse me. It has been long over due that we congratulate our member of the month of March for her superb Northern Character. A true paragon among paragons. Please, if you have not already, give your congratulations to... Mangekyoo!

KotN, be on the look out for a weekly "itinerary" (disgusting, right?), but not really. We plan on posting predetermined weekly events, for all to come to, Northerners and friends of the North as well. Just some regularly scheduled fun events. So if-when you see them, don't be shy!
