Greetings adventurer! We are the Silver Vigil. Our organization is one of honor and equality. Too long have the wars of kings led to the slaughter of innocents and many a village put to the torch. Too long have the chains of the monarchies been bound around your ankles. We will set you free. We will defend the common people from the greed and tyranny that so many kingdoms have devolved to. We vow to be the shield of the realm.

We operate out of the city of Sophanem; one must have the desert known to them to traverse its archaic paths--to reach our noble land. You will find within our gates that our people prosper without the rigidity of classes and titular honorifics. We are a brotherhood working to achieve the same goal.

Our noble group traces its roots back to the wars that set the realm ablaze in the summer of Year 1 of the Sixth Age. So much death, so much destruction, so much aimless chaos. And for what? To advance the agendas of kings, queens, emperors? Many within our ranks were once lords, ladies, princesses, kings even. But those lives are behind us now. Disgusted with the corruption of power, our founders sought to pursue a different avenue: one that guards the realms of man. No more will we stand idle as innocents are put to the sword. We will defend the common folk and work for their interests, not in the pursuit of money and
power.

Our group operates as a republic, equality is stressed. Yes, there exists a hierarchy to facilitate the guild’s missions, but there are no kings nor subjects. We are all equal and everyone’s voice will be heard. Our Harbingers are simply mentors who point toward the direction the guild should go--not demand it.

So then, will you join our noble cause? Will you be a defender of the common folk? Will you rise to eliminate tyranny? Will you free the people from oppression?

The Silver Vigil

is a Player-Owned City clan that is part of the World 103 Community. Our goal is to promote a friendly and social environment for all of our members, whilst spicing up the PoC atmosphere with a different style of clan. As a PoC clan we interact with other nations throughout Gielinor through diplomacy and war. Our clan's focus is around role-playing and establishing a fun group of friends.We also welcome members of the PvM and skilling communities; having departments that fit both of those categories. What is a Player-Owned City clan?

A Player-Owned City clan is a clan that has some roleplay aspects associated with it. We claim land which we rule over which makes us akin to an actual kingdom.POC clans offer political roleplay, warring other nations, storylines that span kingdoms and much, much more! The Silver Vigil is a bit of a spin on the PoC meta; we are a group that is defending the common folk instead of being kings and lords advancing their own agendas.

Are there other Player-Owned Cities we will interact with?

Of course! The World 103 Community is home to many other POCs; all of which, we have unique relations with. For the most part, we all engage in diplomacy and warfare with each other.

Do I have to roleplay?

Absolutely not. Roleplay is of course encouraged and will definitely help you move up the ranks in our clan, but it is not mandatory. If you would like to learn how to, visit our roleplay thread in the private clan forums.

Is capping in the citadel required?

Nope! Capping is optional, but if you do take part in it, your name will be entered in a weekly random lottery where you can win some big bucks if your name is selected!

If there is an issue, please bring it to a rank's attention privately

Kick/Ban Policy

If you violate the rules of the clan, the following action will be taken:

First offence: A verbal warning (often private)
Second offence: A mute for a designated amount of time
Third offence: A temporary ban from the Clan Chat
Fourth offence: Removal from the clan entirely.

Harbingers reserve the right to respond to transgressions accordingly, even if that means bypassing the 4-offence system.

*~*

Paragons and above reserve the right to kick guests from the clan chat on reasonable grounds.
*~* The Clan Chat will be locked during times of war.

Harbingers

: The indirect leaders of the Vigil that do the work behind the scenes. Each Harbinger selects their own title that coincides with their deepest held value or leadership style. They are responsible for creating alliances, declaring war, lore-direction among many other things. They ensure the continuity and success of the clan. Finally, their top priority is to make the clan enjoyable for everyone.

Paragon of Initiation

: The person charged with introducing members to the idea of a Player-Owned City. Teaching the fundamentals of our clan type is key for this role. They are also the head recruiter for the clan, making sure to invite and help newer members when possible.

Paragon of Death

: The mighty war-leader of the order when we must head to war. They are the PvP head of the clan, responsible for holding PvP events both safe and risky. They are anexpert in slaying people and sometimes coloring coloring-books with BLOOD.

Paragon of Skill

: They are the controller of our citadel, determining what upgrades the clan works towards. They also hold skilling events of all types, whilst still keeping up with who visits the citadel/who caps weekly.

Paragon of the Hunt

: They are charged with holding bossing events and promoting group slayer. If you need aid in learning to boss, or just have general questions about PvM, they are who you go to. Everything that pertains to slaying monsters is the expertise of this role.

Paragon of Diversion

: The dedicated events holder for the clan. They must ensure to hold a wide range of events throughout the month. Because of their friendliness and activity, they are often engaged in helping the clan members any way they can.
