To much of the community,

I'd like to apologize to many who may have been kicked from fc or cc in the past 12 or so hours and anyone in the near future.

There was an unfortunate event in which one of our ranks in both R Quark and Clan Quark lost access to their account. The person who had possession kicked many people for fun while on this rank's account and caused many disturbances.

Many wealthy people and people of high ranks have always been a target of hijackings (myself included). The risk of being hijacked is very slim but it was very sad that happened to one of the ranks.

I am very sorry to any that were affected but I can happily say that we have the situation more under control than it was earlier and are hoping that the owner will be able to get their account back/unlocked soon.

Sincerely,
Trips

Ngl, was very busy talking in PM and working out recovering my account during Rank session. Was hardly able to vote on anyone for this reason and also that this whole situation on my shoulders and inactivity in quark the past handful of days has made it harder to recall who was more/less active other than a few cases.

I can assure everyone that I do have my account back now, and also would like a short summary of anything important discussed during rank session after new adds/bans.

I'd like to add that I had intended on proposing something that I've spoken with a few clanmates about earlier in the between-session period that got positive responses - though again I had completely forgotten about it with recent events.

PROPOSITION: If someone is complaining about a PCer, they get 1 warning to stop before they are kicked. If they're not going to be appreciative of someone actively trying to help them, then they can spend an hour without that help.

Edit: Although this isn't a super common issue (more common in 90w I think), I still think it's worth implementing to enforce respect and appreciation for those taking time out of their day to try and give prices to others.

N02h was added to the KOS list for item scamming.

There is a thin line between item scamming and merchanting, the distinction in my eyes is that item scamming's goal is to deceive the other player of the item's value through using distracting tricks or pointing out the GE value, while merchanting involves negotiating to a price both players feel is fair.

We have a screenshot of N02h saying something along the lines of "270m sale for 230m", in which he'd put up a druid staff and bandos armor pieces. Any educated merchant would know the Druid staff is ~140-160m, and bandos pieces are very near or at their GE mid value. The way he stated his sale gave the impression that the items were truly worth 270m, and anybody who bought for his price would be getting a great deal - when in fact they'd be losing 70m+. This all revolved around distracting players to focus only on the GE value of the items and not the items themselves.

Hope this clears some things up.
