I agree with Charm too. When there were like 20 trades since the latest range update, I used to keep the 10 last to make it more convenient when I was still admin and after when I could still update the range, and it worked pretty well afaik.


Suggestion B is interesting but we might lack a few trades to make a nice range if there are outliers. An extreme example of "trades outside of the range" is cracker... we've somewhat already used your idea Charm, but it's been hard at times.

Lyra!!!! Requesting a perm 2 stripe rank. I am and will stay active, but as I have stated before, rank really isn't important to me. I would like to keep kick rank, but have absolutely no desire to be an admin. So perm rank is a good solution to help keep star ranks down and hopefully help delay the next inevitable halving.

Rank sessions used to always be held during the first weekend of the month, and if possible, I would really like to see this continue so that I always know when to keep my calendar open. ;)

I would vote delay until August, to many star ranks need to be addressed early instead of when its too late. Quarkie....MJS

Updated the front page thanks to Hyles! Will be checking over Lee's edits too and incorporating the best bits of both.

Will update the rank list shortly.

As for the next rank session it would either be this weekend or the first weekend of August, if the majority feel the previous one was too recent.

My honest opinion is that it's too easy to forget who was more active earlier in the time periods between rank sessions, and only remembering back a week or two accurately. Because of this I think it'd be much better to hold a rank session this weekend rather than in a month, to prevent certain people who may be more active a couple weeks ago but won't be able to be active in the upcoming 3 weeks (nobody in mind) from being at a disadvantage and having their contributions overlooked.

I do understand that many would prefer to prolong the rank session to prevent too quick of rank ups, and having another halving sooner than necessary - however it seems that with perm ^ and even perm 2^ emerging from those who were halved and aren't quite active enough to constitute being +'d based on recent contributions and only on their help to the FC as a whole, the halving issue may have sorted itself out for quite a while.

Just in case I don't see Lyra next time she logs in, these are the veteran ranks that need to have their ranks changed. (This is mainly so that the trusted veteran ranks have their conflicts count as rank conflicts and their street reports for items above max can be considered rank trades even if the other party does not confirm.)

Rank Adjustments:

Instant Buy - 1 stripe
MVP Wes - 1 stripe
Nyam2 - 1 stripe
Brad76 - 1 stripe

Mc Jump Say - 2 stripe (requested to be made perm kick rank above)

Gold Duckii - Red Star (lieutenant) (Supposed to be perm silver star, but seeing as admins are silver stars right now, red star would be 1 rank lower.)

If anyone knows any other veteran ranks that need to have their ranks adjusted, just PM me!

max(s) trades probably should be considered to make ranges more accurate imo. Assume they'd also be considered as "outliers" for hats worth well more than max (e.g. blue).

Max(s) trades can easily be faked and are usually unknown as to when the nib offer filled. I think the only time it would be nice to incorporate them would be when a hat is going back into the Ge to help make a less expensive, better priced range. Using it in that case could directly/indirectly cause manipulation though based on confirmations not being needed and panics from all of the ins/nibs.
