I'm a little shocked that no one else finds it absurd to wager land.... Since when does an Attacking army stop at the enemy border and offer their land as token should the attack fail? If the battle were a grudge match to decide who the strongest was, I would understand, but this concept during a waged war makes absolutely no sense to me at all.

Oh no, we find it a bit silly, that's why KASH voted no

Like when in history has a nation ever faught another nation and then lost land for losing the attacking battle. Yes maybe a counter attack, but that would be a different fight.

I agree it doesn't make much sense from a roleplay perspective, but from a fair play perspective I would say having to stake your land is justified. Also makes it less likely for clans to go out on a frenzy attacking people when they have something at stake themselves. ¸¸¸¸¸¸„‹•°Member of

W31 Poll Scheme

Majority vote is needed to pass this.

I'm calling for a vote of adding a rule to War declaration. In order to declare war, you must stake a land in order to attempt to take a land. Unless Both parties(The Declarer and the defender) agree upon something else.

Please note, if passed; it will not effect the current war between KASH and KOZ.

If they went on a frenzy attacking people, I'm fairly sure they would get attacked by the community and lose their claims anyways.

*the siege on the city commences*

General: Halt! Wait! wait..! One moment!
*siege stops*
*general signals the white banner and begins to approach the city gates*
General: Ho, there!
Captain of the gate: Swine! What do you want?
General: I forgot to mention. If we are defeated in this battle, you are welcome to a portion of our land.
Captain of the gate: Oh. Okay. I shall inform my authority.
General: Thank you for your custom.

also the white knights control falador.. and the zarosians want it and the ashdales wana protect it.. i dont get why lands need to be staked its just an attack and defending battle where the winner goes home and has a party and the looser crys.

if anything land stake should come up if the war was between the white knights and the zaros. to keep things balanced and theres not alot of pointless wars. other than that dont see the point

with that being said from personal expireances i was told to declare war for a certain land you would also need to give up one of your land if you lost.. not sure if i was told that so they can get rid of me or playing me like a fool because im new to the runescape rp scene. but since i believe in real rping ill be voting no the poll

That is true, I was thinking of that while I wrote this but couldn't be bothered to correct myself.

I stick to the first part of my message though, after all even the most "serious" roleplaying is technically still a game, and a game needs to have mechanics. I think staking land for land is a fair and fun mechanic that should be in place if it wasn't there already (all wars I remember were already done this way though). There we go :P
