No the NSA actually hates me.

The ZK alliance incident was a mess and a half. In part I feel it probably would have gone over a lot smoother if I had handled it differently, but that can't be helped now.

It started when we let a particularly disliked guy around world 83 into EOF. I'm sure you are familiar with the incident.
Well we let this member in on the condition that he behave and leave ZK alone. I didn't need any more drama. Krisi was still displeased however and after she found out he had attended one of our weekly allied events I got more than an earful about how he wasn't to be allowed back to them. I tried arguing with her that I wasn't going to single out one of our members because she didn't like him. She had to get over it and deal with him.
Well she threatened to end the events and I was foolish enough at the time to think EOF needed those events for the sake of activity. So I agreed. Mistake number 1.

After that things went well. We had a few reports that this member was causing issues with some of our allies. Now by issues I mean we were being told he was talking smack in Skype chats about them. True or not there was nothing we could do about that. None the less I had all my admins keep tabs on him to make sure he didn't cause any trouble, which he never did. Mistake number 2.

Finally EOF's winter ball rolled around and this member volunteered to help. We invited everyone as usual, EOS, K0V, Mafia, ZK, KOY, yada yada yada. Historically everyone has always been able to behave themselves at one of our parties. By that I mean we never had issues with K0V picking on ZK or anything like that. Obviously we are in world 83 and you would expect some childish behavior but it never happened thankfully.

This party however was a little different. We were already on edge with a member of ZK who I had to ask to leave our citadel a couple days before for being rather rude. However to add to that another member of ZK decided to call our member (the one who was disliked) a rude name while he was greeting the guests because we opened the gates.
If I'm entirely honest I thought ZK had already handled and I knew it would be a waste of time to even try and report it to Krisi. To my surprise she came to me asking about what happened. So I told her and sent her the screen shots. I didn't hear anything back so I figured it was dealt with. The rest of the party was fine I'm glad to say.

After that Krisi became more worried and at times even downright angry. One day we were talking on Skype with a number of her members and having a good time, and the next she was blaming me for what happened because I had let that member in EOF. Then she starts bring up things that happened ages ago that I thought we were over, like the coalition war, or renegotiating the land lease deal. Saying that she stood by EOF through all of it and bent over backwards to accommodate us, and all EOF ever did was leave them out to dry.
Now at this point I'm really confused and starting to get hurt because of the way she was talking to me. Eventually I started to get angry back telling her that it was EOF had to put up with ZK's nonsense like not letting one of our members attend the events, or how we always stood by their side and defended them while EOS and K0V were harassing them.

Eventually she held a clan meeting in ZK to discuss the alliance and they voted to cut it. That's how that went down.

You know, even if I knew I'm not sure I would confirm or deny that. Sure I may be mad at her but I'm not in the business to reveal anyone's secrets or demonize her or ZK. If she were to declare war on K0V or EOS now I would help my allies, but I doubt it will come to that.

Ah no fun, and the answer differs from private conversations, but I'll let it be :P .

It has been noted by many that in EOF you don't usually promote very strong Empresses, and you have been accused of promoting people who are more passive over merit. Is this true, and would any of it have to do with your past issues with Yarrielle?

I would have to definitely say my experience in K0V plays a role in the matter. Yar with the help of the other royals screwed me. So yea I'd say there are some trust issues.

But I also want to be absolutely sure in who I choose to help lead EOF. They deserve the best and if I can't find someone who can provide that for them then I'll do it myself for the time being. Not to say I think I'm the best, just that I trust myself to make mistakes and correct them than I do anyone else. It's weird I know but it makes sense in my head.

When you put those two answers together you get some interesting results.

Change? You know there are a lot of things that could change, and a lot of things that people wish would change. Fact is though if you change something you start a chain reaction of change that you have absolutely no control over and you don't know where you are going to end up.

People these days are so ready to suggest changes in hope of bringing back an era that was fun. Whether they want land wars to be back because they heard it was fun (Most people these days weren't around for them so they have no idea), or because they miss how things used to be during their time and want to go back.

Truth be told the one thing I would like to change, is the one thing that is always changing. That would be the community.
The leaders of a clan hold a large influence over a clan's actions yes, but the clan members and the pool of people looking to join a clan that we recruit from determine more than anything how events play out.
How alliances begin or die, how wars start, everything you think a clan leader is responsible for is nothing more than a reaction, direct or indirect, to the community.
This doesn't absolve us of our sins, but keep in mind that in the grand scheme of things we are utterly powerless to change anything.
