**A Few Weeks After The Events of Ape Atoll**

Chono ran through Forinthry, now known as the Wilderness, having first travelled to Daemonheim, before trekking for a week along the coastline north, eventually arriving at the Volcano. He turned westward, and spent another week traveling. through the barren night of the northern coastline, before crossing the Frozen Waste Plateau. Arriving there, he tries to enter the Frozen Fortress there, wanting to brood alone on all that has transpired...

They came out of nowhere, their weapons pointed at him... He had his own bow of course, but realized that he was far outmatched. He stood his ground.

"I come in peace..." Chono said, his voice ringing so they could all hear him. To the side, a few of them parted, and someone stepped forward, also with a bow.

"Do you now?" The mysterious archer asked menacingly. "I do not see someone 'coming in peace' when I look at you. I see someone garbed in the attire of war. You also happened to trespass. I wonder if you have any use..." He mused out loud.

"I.... Yes, I am? I'm a spy for the Kingdom of Isafdar!" Chono responded quickly. An arrow flew from behind him and gorged through his left arm, the force knocking Chono to the ground. He screamed in pain.
"A spy... What kingdom?? I know of no kingdom!" The figure raged.
As the pain subsided, Chono knew he had stepped out of bounds. He drew breath shakily.
"K-kingdom of of I-sa-fdar. I did not come to spy on you. I had no idea there were people here... I came to be alone... I was feeling broken... The other kingdoms... That's where I would eventually go back to. Find out what I could. For the betterment of the Kingdom of Isafdar." He said those last words proudly and defiantly.
"What are these other kingdoms?" The figure asked, curiosity peaked.
"There's the Kingdom of Varrock, Wushanko Empire, Aegis of Saradomin, and The Blessed Family." Chono responded quietly. Chono

"There's pirates that we've all been dealing with lately. Perhaps you'd be willing to help?"
"We have no quarrel with pirates. We don't have ships, so why would we be worried?" The figure asked rhetorically. "Well, what is your name?"
"Chono." Chono said.
"This is what we do to spies... Chono." The figure said softly. He made a hand signal and the figures around them began releasing their arrows at Chono. Unable to use his bow, Chono tried to use magic, but his concentration was broken as the arrows began rending his flesh. Chono again screamed in utter pain, louder, feeling like his entire was burning, and his throat would give out. The arrows were not made to kill, but to make the person suffer.
He made a second signal, and the figures switched arrows, before releasing once more. "Burn him."
They quickly made a large fire and threw Chono unceremoniously on the pyre, watching the figure burn.
The mysterious figure stepped in and spoke with the figures.
"I was once known to you as Orguir Khan, but no longer. I shall take this man's name, which meant Wolf. The Forinthry Khanate shall rise."
The figures roared in approval. "Chono Khan! Chono Khan! Chono Khan!" Chono

Though I am sure Master-at-Arms Ishtari has spoken to you about the decision concerning Lazarus, Jimmy, and their crew, I wanted to assure you that it was unanimously made between the Duke, Master, and myself. You may add their ships to the official naval roster. In addition, I will be sending several small shipments of supplies south in the coming days to assist in replenishing what was lost in the raids and the battle. Thank the Master-at-Arms.

I deeply apologize for failing to reply to your letter before now. I have had quite a bit happening here in Varrock and have not had a free moment between politics and my son. However, do not think your support has fallen on deaf ears. Darius and I appreciate it more than ever and we are glad you're feeling better. If you are in need of a change of scenery during your travels in the southern portion of your Empire, you know you are always welcome in Varrock. Who knows, once the Kingdom finds a calm moment perhaps you will see me in Menaphos in the near future.

Meanwhile, in Fortress Hallow at Crandor, Brother Rowanius began writing a letter addressed to the commanding officer stationed near Uzer.


Brother Pydomens,

I trust that the expedition went well. Not only you were able to provide the Grand Magistrix stationed in the tropical isles with the knowledge of replicating golems, but also you were able to uncover what seemed to be a portion of the demon homeworld. In that respect, I dare that no single Knight-Brother venture, lest he be overwhelmed by the sea of evil around that wretched planet. I also trust you that a magical ward was placed to seal it, and that a contingent team would be sent in case things go awry.

As an addition to the said force, I will be sending in four warpriests of Saradomin to the campsite nearby. These pious battle-clerics indeed have fought legions of demons with me in the past; they will prove useful when the time comes. Until they arrive, I plead to you, do not make any action of venturing Infernus without strict preparation. Also, keep an eye on possible demonic skirmishes nearby. Attack them when needed.

That is all. Saradomin be with you always.

A Pyrrhic Victory... Once Again


Our naval fleet was able to once again repel enemy invasions from beyond our ports of call, but not without our own losses. As the threat progresses every day, we struggle to keep up with the defence of our port territories. In the battles near Al Kharid, Ardougne, and Ashdale, each lost one ship of ours. The day was saved indeed nonetheless.

To cope up with the losses, I do seek your approval, Grand Master of the Aegis, that what was left of these ruined ships be used to construct replacement ships. For the
Sword of Zilyana
, the parts will be used to construct a dreadnought,
Efaritay's Vindication
(5C, 1M, 5SEA, 1SPD). As for
Lance of Padomenes
, use the parts for another dreadnought,
The Valiant Warpriest
(4C, 2M, 5SEA, 1SPD). Both ships will be assigned to where their predecessors were assigned.

The threat is now looming; we shall stand strong! The Aegis Endures!

I have ordered the supplies needed to build three new warship class vessels with the remainder of the funds provided by Master-at-Arms Ishtari as well as a donation made by Lady Franny. The Service has been kind enough to lend us three of their seasoned captains from Group Five to assist in training new recruits as well as manning the ships once they have been built. You can also thank the wizards of the Guild for assisting in energy transmutation to lower the cost of building supplies.

I am aware that the food shortage in both Port Sarim and Draynor have reached critical levels due to our shipments being cut off at sea, so I am sending some of the stores of nonperishables in Varrock down with the supplies to help.
