“Dear Pharaoh, my old friend,
Alas, I wish that I wasn’t writing to you about something dreadful happening within our region. But I have confirmed these sighting reported by residents of these nearby places of the dead. It is what we have feared, they are acting abnormal and are aggressive to whomever they see a threat. We must protect the populace, and I also fear that neither Sophanem nor Menaphos is safe. I implore to speak with Vizier Cain about relocating his people in Sophanem into Menaphos and blockade the Sunken Pyramid that is just south of the coast of Menaphos. Increase Guard presence if needed. It is of most importance that Mimring is found, I cannot say how far this can reach or what may come of this.
-Divinus, Cult Leader of the Great Divine”

He went to his Silverhawk and wrapped the scrolled-up parchment to the leg of the gorgeous hawk. He quickly fed his companion and it then flew off south towards the Capital. It was a cool night, the light of the full moon shone upon the sands of the Desert. However, it was showing off a hidden horror. More undead gatherings can be seen all around but not like your typical undead, they were all in some formation. As the hawk continued its flight, the whistle of an arrow graced the Silverhawk just missing it. Below, a mummy with a crudely made makeshift bow and some arrows of bones. This did not phase the hawk as it went further up into the sky.

At last, the soft glow of lights emitting from the Golden City can be seen ahead. The Hawk flew above its walls and headed towards the steps of the Grand Pyramid. The message was received and at once guards began pouring out from their barracks and began their patrol and enforced a curfew. Several more when across the bridge and into Sophanem to specifically to guard the entrances of the Jalsavrah Pyramid. New orders will be given by the Grand Pyramid and the Council in the morning. The gates were sealed and all torches remained on. Archers patrolling the walls and watching for any undead advancements.
The Full moon can be seen above, graceful but eerie just like this night. May it not eclipse the Rising Sun. For now, let’s attempt to sleep tonight for the walls and royal guards will protect us. They are, however, just the usual undead… or are they anything but usual?

The desert, where there are no such thing as friendly undead :)
You can thank bandits and Guardians who are protecting the pyramids for that one.

The Arisen

Sifting through parchments as he sat at his desk, Rnoy would sigh. More stories of the dead rising from their graves and taking upon lifestyles much of the living, or even that of their past lives, were cluttering on his desk like the Autumn leaves.

After he and Sedridor addressed the returning, undead mages, they allowed them to reside within the chambers of the First Tower, with several of the higher ranking living mages keeping a close eye on them.

As time progressed, it seemed that the zombies had acquired their motor functions aswell as their speech. Mayhap it was Rnoy's own imagination, but it also seemed as though their physical appearances were slowly becoming less decayed. And whether or not it was due to his time amongst the undead, or something else, the smell wasn't nearly as bad either.

Could it be that they were becoming living once more? Or was this part of the trickery behind the deads' arrival? After seeing and hearing what he had the past several days, anything seemed possible.

And now... There was a hoard of undead mages, very well with their own agenda, residing within the depths of the old tower... These mages only having known one lifestyle within the walls of said tower... division. It was that same division that lead to the fall of the First Tower... and history had a way of repeating itself.

Rnoy would push away from his desk and walk over to the Staff of Kruluk. He had hoped that the strange activities were not at all related to the day that the staff had behaved so strangely before shifting back to it's original state. If the staff had the power of necromancy behind it, Rnoy would be clueless as to the indication, and his old friend Mimring, from reports, was MIA... Wait... could the old necromancer be behind this..? No... Even he wasn't this powerful.

Returning back to his desk, Rnoy would stare at the staff, lost in thought..

AoS-A Grave Visit
It was a hot Ardougnean day. A mother and her child was walking to the gravesite at the Ardougne East church to pay respects. The little girl had several vibrantly colored flowers in her hand and a white toy horsey that looked like it had seen better days in the other. The horsey was dirty and had several tears in it.

The mother had called for her daughter as the girl bent down to pick a small red flower on the side of the path. After picking the flower, the girl ran to catch up to her mother and they continued towards the church.

Approaching the church, there was a man sleeping on a box. He looked like one of the guards from around the city. His armor looked to be in tatters and the spear he held was broken and what looked to be hastily repaired.

The child ran from her mother to the mysterious man. “Hey mister, wake up!” The little girl said to the man and shook his armor. “Emily, come back here. Let the guard rest.” Amelia said to her child. “But mom…” She said and then recoiled in terror as the man lifted his face to meet hers. The man’s face was drooping and in places the skin was so thin that it showed to the bone. Emily ran back to her mother afraid as the man rose from his spot and grumbled. “Zam...orak…ian…scum…” He made out slowly while raising the spear towards the two.

Emily started crying as she had dropped her horsey while running to her mother. She tried to go get it as it was at the church’s gates. “No Emily! Don’t go near that…thing.” The former guard looked at the horsey and then at the girl. “Not Zamorakian…give toy back…” He muttered and shambled over to the toy to pick it up. He returned the toy to Amelia and returned to his box and slumped down falling fast asleep once again. The family left quickly to report to the city guards of the behavior of one of their own…Or was he?

KoI-Part 1: A Death in the Family
It was midnight within the city of Prifddinas. All was quiet other than the shuffling of guard feet as they made their way to change out for their late-night shifts. It had been several days since the bar crawl and its…unusual…participant.

The city folk had become wary of the drunken zombie, now known as Flinar Baelic, as he made his way daily into the city from the forests of Tirannwn. He was found out to be a member of the Cadarn clan and an expert fletcher. During one of his trips into the city, he had purchased enough thread to keep himself patched up and to buy fletching supplies that he took and fletched overnight to sell the next day.

This night was different. Flinar had arrived at the crystal gates with a strange look about him. He seemed agitated as he tried to make way into the city. He was stopped by two guards and was told to leave and come back in the morning. He looked at them as if he had no understanding of their words and proceeded to lunge towards the closer guard.

The secondary guard moved fast and pried the Flinar from the other guardsman. Flinar groaned as he was shoved towards the forest. The first guard winced in pain as the second guard made Flinar leave. He had been bitten.

The second guard examined the bite and knew what had to be done. He pulled out a small crystal dagger and looked at the first guard. “You know what will happen if you are not dealt with my brother.” He said. The other guard only nodded and prepared for the blow. With a quick motion he ended the other guard’s life. He will be burned tomorrow at dawn.

KoI: Part 2: The Trio of Delvers
Meanwhile in Daemonheim…

A new group of adventurers had made themselves known. The newcomers had made their way into the dungeons of Daemonheim and had slain several of its beasts within. From stalkers to behemoths, they had seen them all. One instance however, stands above the rest. Their fated meeting with the skeletal horde.

The trio had made their way into the heart of the abandoned sections of the complex dungeon system. Each member had a style they preferred to use. Pierce was a master of the bow. Fiara had studied the art of magic during her time at the Wizard’s Tower. Lastly, Ivo had trained within the ranks of the Temple Knights in his time and had mastered the use of all martial combat.

As they unlocked the final set of doors, they heard a familiar groaning as they entered. “Skeletons! Take your positions!” Ivo shouted as Fiara and Pierce set themselves up on opposite corners of the room to prepare for the oncoming horde. This was no horde like they had ever faced however. Among the skeletons were zombies as well. The group easily dispatched the skeletal walkers but the zombies were more resilient.

Soon, Ivo was overcome as the horde kept flowing out of the wall crevices. Fiara and Pierce shortly followed. In her dying breath, Fiara prayed to Saradomin and asked him to not let others meet the same fate.

KoV- The Duel of Time
A fireball whizzed past the Red Mage’s head. “Weak, you will never hit me like that.” Shouted Juliana, the Red Mage. Another fireball, another miss. Juliana conjured her own fire spell and sent it at the assailing Blue Mage, Derric. “I will not have you summoning demons in MY tower, do you hear me?” The blue mage shouted back.

“Last I checked, Derric, this is a place for magical study. Demons are magical creatures, whether you like it or not.” Juliana commented while avoiding a binding spell placed by Derric. Derric retorted, “Even so, we have strict guidelines on what is and is not allowed. Secrecy has no place here.” A fireball caught Derric unaware. It blazed the left arm of his robes. From underneath the sleeve, came a vile stench and the sound of a plop as robe bits and decayed flesh fell off.

Several wizards that had been watching from the modern tower murmured among themselves. “Dead flesh…” “Fire magics seem potent” “Send for the Archmage quickly!” Were some of the conversations that could be overheard.

Back at the duel, the mages fought on, despite the sudden flesh loss and smell. Two mages stepped forward to halt the duel after several minutes. One mage was clad in green robes while the other was gray robed. After several minutes of persuading, the duel was stopped.

The Zamorakian Juliana walked over to where the flesh was crackling, still alight with fire. “Interesting…very interesting.” She quickly vialed the piece and hid it away while the other mages were not looking. “Time to consider our situation…I’ll show that Blue…” She quickly left the dueling area and returned to her quarters.
