I think the basically we had two sides to this meeting. Tight-but distant control and rules and the bare minimum of rules
I am with the bare minimum
-most people interested in land wars do not like to use forums or do not know about it, suggesting that we no longer centralize ourselves on here
-constantly changing rules and such discouraged many of us to war
So, here's the idea I got:
We make a thread thats role is to simply record land claims, not accept or deny, but record. If a land claim is contested, it gets moved to a separate list for contested lands specifically. Examples:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Claimed lands~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Al Kharid: Guardians of Realm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Contested Lands~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrounge:
-da bosses
-white knights
Next, I think when it comes to warring the only requirement we should have is that you post and agree to war rules on this thread. ALL war discussion is to be taken in-game(if necesarry neutral ground is set up I guess) You only post the rules and agree to them on here.
and maybe some basic roleplay rules, to make it kind of realistic like:
-you can't attack land that is not next to owned piece
-you can attack any land next to a ocean source if you own a port
-anywhere gnome gliders can land(if you own the tree stronghold place)
-lodestones not included
THAT PART is sketchy lol, just an idea to be considered.
EDIT: Also, we should claim land as we did when the land claiming first started. If land is unclaimed you kill all npcs their twice then declare your clan owning it, if its owned already you challenge and defeat clan, they are not required to war immediantly. This makes your clan noticed by players encouraging more clans to participate and getting you recruits. It also focuses us in-game
So, thats my idea, bare minimum of rules, thread simply to record.
