This is a really good question! The forums have many rules that defy common sense. Their only purpose seems to be to give forum mods work to do. Forum mods can essentially make-up rules on the fly; most are never written down in an 'official' webpage. The forum moderation review thread is the place to complain, although you will not be successful as the depth of the 'reviewing' is hardly fair...
As for separating phat pc's from the other pc's, I do not support this, but would be interested in hearing others' thoughts at the session. I cannot see it being successful (remember other 'friends chats' used to price check GE rares, too), and it will only be confusing to 90% of forum users and fc users (I am imagining referring people with no forum experience to two different forum threads from ingame). Not sure it will be a significant improvement on what we have now tbh. But maybe we can try it for a while and see if it's better---no reason we couldn't go back to how things are now. (Unless there are unwritten forum rules I am not aware of

To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize. MODS = GODS
