Explain how you can disappear for weeks at a time and not do shit about bans because you cry about bond cost yet i get deranked for not being able to be online for a rank session which sounds like a complete failure anyway

When the rank session was going on you popped in multiple times saying oops I forgot session was happening or something similar. Then I said rankings would be done on forums because no one showed up both in the discord and to the fc/cc multiple times. I took into consideration people who were offline for the majority of the time and left fc title as vote on forums to give awareness to other ranks. I would rather have riots about rankings than people just assuming the fc will be fine going forward since everyone complains it's dead. I'm not singling you out, any perma ranks who were online and or in the fc in the past week were rated on.

Wrong, again. I logged in to do my daily spins 10 mins before the rank session started, and i forgot because of timezone changes x time wasn't the same as my time so i thought i'd missed an hour. I apologised and you said it wouldn't be starting for 10 mins. I then said well sorry, I have to go, and then logged out again. I don't care what your reasons were or what you thought you were doing by deranking everybody, but I promise you now nothing good is going to come of it.

You might be right in regards to the day of the session, I can't 100% confirm my memory of a week ago.

I'm not sure if my decision to lower most of the ranks by 1 was a positive or negative thing. The inactivity of the fc overall has been quite an issue for awhile and this was my way of addressing it. You can't really deny it if no one replied to this thread after multiple reminders, fc title change and other discord chats about it.

Maybe my decision was the wrong choice but any talk would be better than no discussion at all. I know there are more issues that affect the overall state of the fc like declining player base and lack of cosmetic appeal as well as less people due to no hat prices, so I'm just trying to improve the few things we can control. Whether it be good or bad, I personally won't know until I get feedback. If I tried to talk about it prior to doing the actual action, I would get no one interested in talking about the as seen on the previous page.

I know the system we've had for the past 7 years has been working fine but we'll never know if it could be working better with a few tweaks. I'm not afraid to take risks, even if there is a possibility of backlash. The end goal is to find a way to get people motivated or interested in the fc again.

If enough people feel as though I'm in the wrong I'd be happy to revert my decision, but after all is done I won't be apologizing for trying something different in the friends chat.

I would’ve voted on here but it would’ve just been me +/keeping pop since I’ve been too busy with school the last few months. I check out the forums and pop in online here and there but that’s it so I wouldn’t have known who to vote on. I’m not surprised with the deranking and honestly I don’t mind. I lasted at silver longer than I thought I should have. I personally don’t think you did anything wrong and support the decision to derank a good amount of people. I wasn’t there during the session so I don’t know the full extent of what happened but I think it was needed.

Honestly, I would even be okay with a halving of everyone’s ranks. Let’s see what happens when everyone has to earn ranks back. We don’t really need much past a kick rank nowadays anyways. Scope handles most of the partyhat/max items and does a good job so higher ranks have become almost pointless. If halving is too extreme and causes us to lose too many kick ranks then how about just setting everyone above kick rank level to kick rank level and going from there. Yes, the chat has been slow and the player base has been declining but that doesn’t mean we can’t try new things. I think for too long it’s been a popularity contest and a match of who has done the most for the chat IN THE PAST. How about we start fresh and move on from the past? Let’s focus on who does things for the chat NOW. That’s just my opinion though. If it doesn’t work out and the chat loses a few people in the process, that’s okay. The chat may die one day and that’s okay too. Things don’t last forever. Let’s just all try and remain civil towards each other and accept that.

That's a unique idea Cyder. It would be weird at first but if we made everyone corporal and let them choose how active they want to be but would be a somewhat interesting reset or month. It'd be nice to get more feedback on it before I do something that extreme though.

Since admin roles have been mostly diminished maybe anyone star or above could add to kos but only gens could remove or something, while gens are decided by majority vote when we get there? There are plenty of different ways to promote rank activity instead of the standard voting system where only (at best) 10-20% of ranked members vote per month.

Maybe once added or ranked it would take multiple months of doing nothing at smiley before you'd lose it.

Is there a way we could easily relay scope's compilation to people asking for hats? People struggle to use the forums but it would be nice if we could keep hats in the fc withough having to go through the trouble of having to direct them to whatever post scope made for the day?

Would be nice to just have a direct link we could give when asked for phat pcs, instead of kicking people from fc for asking since hats are the most iconic items in rs.

A link would be great if we were able to direct people to a website of our making. I’m not sure if we can do this though. The forums really aren’t that difficult to navigate. We can direct people to the clan and then explain from there, but you know how the clan can be.

We can mention them in the chat again if you’re okay with saying something like” around 7500, refer to the thread for a more accurate list of prices.” This would mean that we become okay with saying around a certain price. The around price would be the weighted average of the day. The ranges were always a pain to pc. This brings me to my next point, we would need people to actually pc for this method to work. Also, if they are declining or rising the “around” could be misleading.

It’d be great if we could have an added chat option to list specific notes. In these notes we could leave the current prices. I doubt jagex would work too much on friends chat options since I don’t think many people have to deal with the things we deal with or need the extra features.

Unfortunately I don’t see much more we can do other than relaying them to the forums. We could stop kicking if that’s what you really wanted. The only other option is bringing back ranges but that opens up a whole set of other problems. It seems like what you really want us to do is stop kicking, so how about we just stop kicking? I was never here.
