In this instance, R Quark will take the fault as the rules were not followed of prudently investigating conflicted reports prior to kicking. I do not know the entire situation - I was not on at the time - but I do know that no plausible report should receive an instant kick following a rank conflict without first reasonably reviewing the situation.

Prior to the kick, a rank should have first questioned whether the sale could be old (i.e. timing issue) or if a mistake was made in the report. We lose credibility by not allowing players to correct any possible errors or explain themselves.

8s/150, I apologize greater efforts were not made to review your report prior to you being kicked. Again I repeat, for this we are at fault. You will not be placed on the KOS list or added to the rank conflict list for this instance.

@Gren, I apologize that you feel that way. Our purpose is to do our best to prevent price manipulation, not cause it. As I have said in the past and now reiterate, we do not own the market. No one is "forced" to use the FC. If you ever feel that a PC given by the FC is inaccurate or manipulated, feel free to bring it up with a rank or make a constructive post on this thread. With that said, using foul language and making accusations is not constructive, and I ask you to refrain from making such posts in the future. Thank you.

When an update is given in the FC it is assumed that trade occurred within the last 5 minutes, unless otherwise stated. Without a proper timeframe given we have no idea when the trade occurred. Situations such as this is why its required to state a time frame if the trade occurred more than 5 minutes ago.

If the events of last night (or whenever that was for your timezone) occurred again, please report the update with the timeframe to avoid the confusion. If its a frequently traded item (such as lowers, eggs, and scythe), its best to not report a trade if its over an hour old, as the FC only wants to give pcs that are the most recent, and a pc that is over an hour old may not be the most recent and can lead to incorrect conflicts due to timing issues.

Last night I admit, I did react fairly fast to the conflict and I did kick without asking the proper questions and I apologize for my actions. For future reference I'm supposed to ask when your trade occurred instead of assuming it was recent, despite no timeframe given.

Also I'm often called God Nub, but Gob Nob is a new one.

He was online when it sold and posted in the FC directly after. So it's not like he waited all day and came in and posted something that sold hours earlier. And yeah screenshots are often faked but he wasn't given an opportunity to provide proof at all. He did end up streaming it which is posted in this forum somewhere.

One of the things during the rank session that I though was important to the community was the way the fc rounds prices. Currently for items that are less that 500m, the price is rounded to nearest 100k for the appropriate b/s report.

Suggested and supported by most ranks was changing the threshold to items below 100m are rounded to the nearest 100k. This change will be implemented in the next couple weeks unless there is a large support from the non ranked community of the fc.

If anyone has a strong against or in support of please post here or pm me in game so that we know if this is a beneficial change.

I might be biased from my time in 90weaps, but I'm not against rounding to 1m for everything. I can understand why some might not want to for turkeys so 100m seems fair for a threshold.

I saw Meloff raise concerns about accuracy being lost with additional rounding. Something being 250b over 249.2b is no less accurate, but it is less precise. But if precision was the focus you wouldn't round at all. There's a reason it gets rounded, and rounding to 1m doesn't undermine that.

Sorry I wasn't at session, something came up IRL and I had to deal with it.

I agree with what Lwut has said, is there a specific date you're officially implementing this change or is it already in effect but giving people time to adjust?
