Ok Guyver and Maxxie have been added to the participant list :D
Sorry I never made it in game yesterday. Also we are having a big storm, the worst of it will be tomorrow where we'll be getting 10-14 inches of snow. So there's a chance we could lose power

Trivia:
Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny) was allergic to carrots.

EDIT: We have our own storm coming here in Queensland, Australia. If any of you guys want to, google "Tropical Cyclone Yasi". A cyclone is what the southern hemisphere call hurricanes. Cyclones spin clockwise, hurricanes spin counter-clockwise (another piece of useless trivia for today, but it has something to do with how the storms spin off from the equator).
Yasi is a category 5 cyclone atm, which is the highest level possible, with wind gusts of 295kph (183mph). It's predicted to hit the coast this afternoon (6 or so hours away). I live 920 kilometres (570 miles) from the coast and we have been given the warning as well to expect the cyclone to hit us, although it is expected to *only* be a category 1 when it gets here sometime in the next 2 days. I will most likely lose power, so I won't be on ( :( ) and we are hoping that we won't end up like Brisbane: flooded.
EDIT: EDIT: I would like to participate in a clan skill of the month competition, but I'm not interested in Firemaking, so I must decline (for the second month). If it was Smithing or Crafting, that would be a whole different matter...

Ouch Post, I'm really hoping everyone on the shore is getting the hell out of there. Even though some people may be stubborn, category 5s are nothing to mess with. The max I've had locally were category 3s, but Katrina was devastating (Which was a category 5 hurricane)
If the category's wind speed and classifications are parallel, then 1's aren't much to worry about, here it occasionally does knock out power though. I live in Florida, so although not recently I get hurricanes really often.
Anyways, I hope you're safe. By all means, if there's a mandatory evacuation, evacuate.

Stay safe please Postydoodle!!!!! Hurricanes are a scary thing =( We haven't gotten one yet... *knock on wood*
I would be surprised if we don't lose power tomorrow. Supposed to get like 12-16 inches of snow, possibly mixed in with sleet, and it's supposed to be windy. So I think I'll pop in game tonight for a bit =)

The region I live in is classified as semi-arid. We should not be getting cyclones at all. Yes, we get a fair bit of rain during our wet season, along with an occasional thunderstorm, but nothing like cyclones.
The biggest worry (apparently) for the coast is the storm surge. They are predicting a surge of 2-3 metres above sea level, which even I can imagine will be devastating.
The towns & cities in the cyclone's path are experienced with cyclones; they get them every year. But yesterday our state premier (equivalent to a govenor) had to make an annoucement to the people who have put their rubbish bins out for collection to bring them back in & secure them! Seriously? They know there is a nasty storm coming, everything is shutdown & locked down, but they still put their bins out for collection?? I think there is a nomination for a Darwin Award in there somewhere...
Oh, and the last warning/update we received for Mt Isa indicates that when (if) the cyclone hits us (570 miles inland) it is predicted to still be a Category 2. It was predicted to be a Category 1, but I think Yasi wants to go down in the history books and has been intensifying even more.
Either way, we won't be dying of thirst out here for a while...
