A few of the mates and myself were talking and drumming up oddball ideas and one came up I liked. What if Citadels had Double Xp Weeks?
Skilling on the 7 plots while in the Citadel would be Double XP.

I liked it for the fact that it would encourage more people to cap and it would be limited to the cap that your clan currently has. (ex. 2.7k for T7)

It could be something that was done quarterly. So 1 week every 3 months. for a total of 4 weeks on the year.

Any thoughts on this?

EDIT: Perhaps giving double the Fealty reward from the Clan Cloak and double Bonus XP from the Quatermaster could be something done as well. (Just a one time thing for that week.)

Perhaps make Citadel part of the event days during the holiday festivities bonuses, I like the sound of that ;)

Thanks CuddleBucket! I just feel as if Clans needs something other than Clan Wars, ya know?
The competition is fun and all, but something a bit more laid back would be cool too. :P

I know what he meant hence why I made a different suggestion entirely lol.

Reason being is because I cannot foresee a Clan week happening for awhile or at all from the forecasts shown in their yearly summary so why not tie it in something that is possible . Unless they allocate resources to Clans or their priorities shift then this may not go ahead.

I'm sorry to say this Manswer, your ideas are great but I'm considering their priorities and resources that we should all currently be already aware of.

Hopefully your idea is given a go ;)

I'm no developer by any means. I haven't the slightest the difficulty in doing something like this.

Imo clans are much more about community than tools for gaining extra xp. If clans are to be highlighted, I would prefer it is done in a way that highlights the social aspect rather than trying to bribe players in with the usual lure of xp. It would feel much too forced and push clans and the community away from their true values. So no support from me sorry.

To clarify, clan highlights are great, but don't make them so dependent on xp.

I feel that this kind of thing is just a forcing point to an area of content which at the end of the day a lot of people just do not find appealing, theres too many instances in this game where we try to flog a dead horse, the content is what it is and theres really no reason to put effort into in this manner, it sounds desperate.

The odd double xp here and there wont change the "quality" of the content nor peoples enjoyment of it, its just a little xp boost people will take advantage of every now and then and will go back to forgetting about it.

I would much rather see capping becoming easier as a way of drawing people in, rather than increasing the exp.

Such as not so click intensive.

Lets be honest Capping is suppose to be a social chill out for clan members not somewhere to grind for 1 hour to 2 hours.

An incentive for me is to have the capping more chilled.

How could you highlight Social Aspects of clans? I personally agree. But is there an actual way to do it? Like I said in a previous post, Clans need something aside from Clan Wars, which only the elite clans can excel in.

One could make this argument for Double XP Weekends in the main game as well. It's just an excuse to get 99 in skills at half off. Not improving the quality nor peoples enjoyment of it. But everyone participates.

I couldn't see this as a viable option since it's already fairly simple as is. Making it easier would only, as Scret said, flog a dead horse. Making it easier wouldn't exactly make it more social either. It would shorten the amount of time you'd have to socialize.
