I’m wondering how much real money people spend (or are willing to spend) on running a clan and what it is spent on . Also if you don’t spent any money on it and aren’t willing to do so ever, your answer is very much welcome. If there are enough answers in this thread, I’ll make a summary of it.

Some things I can think of clans might spend money on:

Domain name, web hosting, off-site tools, advertising, merchandise, secondary accounts just for capping at citadel (don’t include your main membership), rewards / awards for clan members (like bonds, merchandise, …) or anything else you could think of.

I’d gladly appreciate it if you were to answer the following questionnaire in this thread . (please clearly state currencies with your numbers)

3) Who pays for it?

4) How much are you (personally) willing to spend on your clan yearly?

5) If you were given €100 ($106 or £85) to spend on your clan, what would you spend it on?

1) How much money is spent on your clan yearly?

Approximately €20 ($21 or £17)

2) What is your clan’s budget being spent on?

- Domain name: €10 ($11 or £9) / year
- Web hosting: €10 ($11 or £9) / year

(recently closed website due to being outdated and inactive, considering to make new one)

3) Who pays for it?

Currently me, the clan leader and founder. Used to have other backers and previous clan leaders.

4) How much are you (personally) willing to spend on your clan yearly?

Up to approximately €80 ($85 or £68) a year. Which is like the most expensive VIP membership package for a year or something, don’t really know, have been paying with bonds lately.

5) If you were given €100 ($106 or £85) to spend on your clan, what would you spend it on?

Web hosting and domain name mainly, what’s left I’d spend on bonds and / or merchandise to award to good and active clan members. Would reward based on measurable facts like capping in citadel, not by popular vote. Night Slayers

o.O haven't ever spent a penny on my community TBH

We use ProBoards which is a free forum based website and mainly use it as Forums for community information.
I suppose if I felt the need to get a jazzy website I would look into making and paying to host one - but personally for our needs, it isn't required: we utilise social media much more than the website anyway.

ProBoards website for community information, Zoho spreadsheets for our Ranking systems, Facebook for pictures and communication, Twitter & InstaGram for updates and more pictures.

That pretty much covers us TBH, I don't really see the need to shell out IRL GP to buy us anything. Proud Owner of the

If I had to I'd be willing to put <£100 into it, but personally I've never found the need to spend money on anything for the Clan.

• Clan websites are unnecessary unless you're running an active Clan of 500.
• Discord is free, and objectively better than Teamspeak.
• Prior to Discord we used Skype, which sucks, but works.

If it was given to me for free and I had to spend it on the Clan I'd probably just buy a bunch of bonds, convert them to coins, then distribute the wealth among the active members.

None, we run without any personal funds.

I guess if anyone would be paying for it, it'd be Kentt or myself.

Maybe $25, for random things.

Honestly, I'm not sure we would spend it on anything. A website would be a waste, because realistically few people would use it. We don't hold giveaways, so we wouldn't give out membership or Bonds for it. I'm honestly not really sure what we'd do. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape

I have fully intended to put actual money toward my clan members.
I have alot of various ideas for doing so.

New ideas never hurt, I could use even more.

None. A clannie of mine pays for the site, I usually give him 1 or 2 bonds a years for it.

£0 I have always Played by using bonds since they started due to the ilo scams i banned trust trading in clan but i often give clan discord members gp to buy a bond on loan if they pay me back some do some dont . discord makes it easy to make a list of transactions everyone can see

i dont see any need to pay for anything . Id like to give AoDude a £1000.00 but that will never happen Runeinfo is an awesome discord bot and he works very hard in maintaining it
