I am the owner of the fc and cc "Fast Effigy" which I personally created in October 2011. Last year I chose Jai Survecu aka Penni Layne as my new co-owner and we are jointly running our clan together. "Fast Effigy" is a dummy account like World60pengs or Star Find and it was solely created by me for the purpose of making rank ups in our fc and cc easier but I am the sole proprietor. This story can be verified by contacting Canada Grrl or Aorox or Athina.

In the first week of October through a series of events beyond our control the account “Fast Effigy” was accessed and “Fast Effigy” (the gold keyholder in our clan) was demoted to admin. Then 2 days later after ownership changed between various ftp accounts “Avittar” managed to become gold keyholder. “Avittar” was previously a recruit in our clan who had been promoted overnight from recruit to bronze keyholder (last month) but then 3 days after his promotion permanently left our clan to join a different clan.

Jai Survecu aka Penni Layne has recovered the dummy account "Fast Effigy" since I was at work at the time but it has been demoted by the hacker from owner/gold keyholder down to the rank of admin.

Really sorry to hear that happened to you...

You could try posting on the Inactive Clan Leader thread, but unfortunately, the request to transfer ownership must be made by a deputy owner, which it appears you clan doesn't have. On top of that, the account that currently holds the rank of owner must also not have logged in for over 12 months. I suppose the best course of action would be to post on the thread and explain the situation.

update and summary of previous events:

1. me and "Jai Survecu" aka "Penni Layne" jointly own the clan "Fast Effigy" since 2011.
I own the account "Fast Effigy" which is a dummy account for ranking purposes and therefore the gold keyholder of our clan.

3. Since Avittar has seized the rank of gold keyholder 90% of all active clannies have left since they consider him an outsider who hijacked our clan. The rest is waiting for him to finish his power trip and hopefully leave our clan eventually. Meanwhile most of us have temp left the clan chat waiting for a response from Jagex.

Wow I am very sorry to hear this. I don't mean to make you feel worse, so please don't take what I'm about to say the wrong way, but here it is..

Unfortunately I don't believe that Jagex will be able to do much in this situation. The account in question was a shared account (technically against game rules although I understand this is rarely enforced on clan accounts). It also wasn't technically hacked because the password was willingly shared with your third co-owner who then shared it with third parties via social media after becoming disgruntled. That is a huge risk to take when having a shared account as owner, unfortunately this is basically worst case scenario.

There were also warnings signs of trouble ahead, specifically when the person in question promoted a friend to bronze key, disregarding clan rank up procedures. This upset your clan members, and rightfully so, yet no action was taken to discipline or demote the co-owner in question or change the password on the shared account that held the owner's position.

I am very very sorry to hear this happened to your clan, but ultimately decisions were made that put this in motion. It is a terrible outcome, but also a predictable one given what you posted here. Unfortunately, I think it is unlikely that you will be able to recover your clan.

My advice would be to start a new clan and provide a safe place for your remaining members if they wish to join. I see you are still in Fast Effigy, so you could let your members know whats going on and shift them to the new clan while remaining part of Fast Effigy to spread the word / post on forum / discord / etc. I know that this is far from ideal, but this is why its very very important to have safeguards against such things. Unfortunately at this point, creating a new clan might be the only option to provide your members a safe and reliable clan.

I'd again reiterate that Weltmeiser and the other former leaders have the option to create a new clan for people to join if they wish. In my opinion, this is probably the best option if you're unable to sort things out. Its not ideal, but I don't really see a better option if the current leadership is unwilling to work things out.
