This does bring up an interesting point.

Most clanowners i presume cant put their pm on private, not only are there simply not enough spots on ones friendslist to ad all clanmates and other friends, but generally we get pm-ed by others who might want to join, schedule some event between clans or have some problem involving a clanmate.

Really the only way to make it work seems to be to synchronize ones ignorelist whit the clanbanlist.. while trying to limit the numbers on both.

An other point is that some clanmates inevitably do not get along and since at least my clan does not kick or ban for personal reasons, but only for breaking of clan rules, it happens that an admin has some member on their ignore list, and as such is not as effective anymore in monitoring the clan.

In the end though, these are not things Jagex can fix, they are simply normal limits to a system like there are to all of them.

Is it not safe to assume that as leader if someone is on your ignore list then they are not fit for your clan by your own standards?

I agree though while its an interesting point its still within our own abilities to regulate this ourselves.

Generally I would say : yes.. that is safe to assume, lol.. but 'm sure there are exceptions. There are people in my clan that I don't particularly like, but they do not break any of our rules, so they get treated fairly. But I do not have them on my ignore list, I don't have many on it anyway, except spambots and a few total bleep-hole bullies ..

The nice, but very needy ones kinda are the most tempting to iggy.. lol..

Ye you're right I could probably just delete those on my ignore list.

Since I didn't believe it worked this way, I'm essentially just finding out for the first time that it works like this, so I wanted to bring it to Matthe & Maz to see if there were any options.

All of us here understand the care we have for our members.

I guess I was a little shocked at 'not being able to protect' our clan so to speak.

Not that anybody in any way needed protection, & the troll was kicked straight away, I was just surprised to learn that that could be happening without me being aware of it.

I appreciate all your replies very much < 3

I hope you don't mind if I hang out for an official word.

If they are on your ignore list, then put them on the clan banlist...
And if it is not serious enough to warrant that, then remove them from your ignore.

Simple solution :O

The ignore list works as intended. This is a perfect solution.
