Hi Tarzana people call me tarz I am the clan leader of a small clan . my concerns have become even more concerning tonight as I found two friends one of which is a clan member had been hacked . both to the same website linking. while people blame them for falling for it . the point is people have lack of awareness. I would like to have a awareness system in the game . or something to stop the scamming and hacking . I look out for my clannies & warn others when I need to but there is only so much one person can do . anyone got any idea's how we can help others enjoy the game and not fall for the low life's who intrude on other's personal information? even if other leaders could warn other's

First of all, you can report the phishing website by mailing .

You can also link your clan members this page if they want to become more aware of phishing in Runescape.

In addition to the above information,

I would strongly that you advise your clan members to set up a bank pin if they don't have one, Set up Authenticator on their RS account and on their email which is linked to their RS account.

Moreover if you come across a spammer spamming "100m to first 100 people visit 'X' on youtube/facebook" report it on those platforms - from personal experience youtube is really good when it comes to taking those videos down when reported.

Other than that - The Customer Support week is coming up next week and RuneScape will be promoting account security alot along with rewards and the like so this should help a little as well.

there needs to be a return of awareness . I as a clan leader hate seeing good players who work hard fall for scams , lurers & hackers
There is a Twitter page that calls out rulebreakers and what they've done, although there appear to have been complaints about its accuracy of late. It's called @RSCrimeTracker if you're interested.

I make sure our admin + ranks all have a bank pin/ authenticator /registered emails etc etc so that they can be as protected as possible. I do the same for new players who join us .

We make sure that as far as we can that our clan mates are aware of any scams/lures that are going around, updating our clan forum pages with details, warnings and information - but you can only do so much .

Sadly some peoples arrogance or naivety will still lead them down the wrong path, no matter how much advice or warnings they are given. Always we say if something seems to good to be true. it is too good to be true. but still some people will be tempted to try anyway - "it wont happy to me"

Sometimes the only way to learn is the hard way.
