The post was blocked by a forum mod as advertising is considered a form of spam. Are you both saying it's okay to break forum rules? I thought this was a clan leader forum with more professionalism than that.

I would have appreciated it more if I was approached and my permission sought for first seen it is my clan's thread and I am the owner of it. It is the fair and appropriate way.

As said once again I have no problem supporting it, thank-you very much for your efforts Tiber and I'm glad you've come to terms with it.

The post was blocked probably because you went running to the F Mod, i doubt its hardly against the rules so you go on and please tell me how Tiber's post is any different than someone coming onto your thread and saying "bump"

The fact that what Tiber is doing is something that will benefit all clans surely you can have the common sense to see the good in those posts and stop your whining about something that got you a free bump on your thread and has no negative impact on your clan what so ever. But if you dont want to see the clan permissions update succeed and be developed then carry on.

That's not true. Not all clans benefit from this and some clans would benefit far more from different updates. Macka is right that it is advertising, even thought the intention behind it is to improve the clanning experience. Let's not waste time on arguing though, he didn't want that post on his clan's thread and therefor it has been hidden. For every clanleader that doesn't want it there're 20 who don't mind it, so it's just a risk worth taking.

I supported the idea, although there're quite some ideas that would be much better for my clans (like pre-EoC combat worlds).

You sort of lost me at "not all clans will benefit from this". I could understand not supporting it because you'd rather see a different update happen, but I fail to see how this wouldn't benefit every clan?

The clan's permission rewrite was suppose to effect a VAST majority of code relating to clan's, not just simple mute features. A rewrite would prompt a big rework of the whole code, potentially leading to other great updates. That was my understanding of it, but I could be wrong.

At any rate, the clan permission rewrite in itself should benefit all clan's in some form. What clan really wouldn't benefit from it? Also, any clan boasting thousands of "bumps" on their thread has no ground to stand on with the "it's spam" argument, imo.

A better more efficient way to structure clans will benefit all clans. so yes it is true. There might be more something more useful to your clan but this is universally beneficial to all.

And no Macka was wrong, advertising is the sole purpose of recruitment threads and Tiber's message was no different than someone putting BUMP and i really dont understand why he made an issue out of it.
